Morning all….cold here today…actually had to put the furnace on this morning.
It’s movie night tonight, so we are off to see the new Downton Abbey movie. My wife doesn’t like the series but I do.
It’s also burger night tonight….Guinness loves burger night as we split a burger.
Speaking of bow wows…..

Morning all...coffee’s on any takers?

Came across something the other day that I thought interesting....using English Muffins as hamburger buns.....got to try this.

Any other BBQ hacks out there....would love to share.

Suppose they're solid enough to hold a burger to the end of munching, unlike the brioche buns which are currently popular and drop to bits. Naan breads are also a good vehicle for burgers.

Griddle bananas in their skins then peel and add maple syrup and ice cream.

Morning all. Wet and warm here today.
Went and saw Downton Abbey New Era last night. As I watched the film I wondered if someone who was unfamiliar with the series, or not even a fan, would enjoy the film......I came to the conclusion there was enough mix of for the fan and for the newbie that they could enjoy it. I have a four point system ( poor, fair, good, excellent ) ...I can easily rate this as “good”. Fabulous casting, perfect scripting and delivery, wonderful shots.... I would recommend it.

Now on to the obscure..... anyone watch USFL football on the tube? As many here are not from Canada, we have our own professional league here...the CFL...while many have drank the “kook-ade” on the NFL game and avoid watching the CFL...I’ve got to say the USFL is as bush and minor league as one can get....and to think it’s on two OTA networks......

I got my coffee order yesterday...All is right with the universe......have a great day.

The thought of the day is so true...it’s the simple gestures that we can do everyday that may seem meaningless to us but can mean so much to the recipient...

Too many "allowances" might lead to a need for a cup or two of strong coffee. :) Better put on an extra pot. It might need to be stronger than some of the flavored coffees though.

I’ve heard that can happen. How are things with you and yours Slydude? Well I hope.

Recommend top Gun Maverick; a tad overlong and ludicrous storyline but all has the thrills of the original plus a good sound track. Cruise on top form.

It is just being shown here this weekend...my wife can’t wait! She wants the AVX seats which move and vibrate in sync with the movie....should be fun.

Go for it but forgo the snacks! Even in my little local cinema you could feel the noise.

I bet it will be loud! Speaking of snacks, I can’t get over the price of stuff at our Cineplex...a hot dog and a drink is almost as expensive as a meal at Swiss Chalet..... it’s not that I’m cheap....but I don’t see value there..... I’ve seen many baseball game promo nights that have $1 hot dogs....although I’m not so sure I’d want someone beside me with many many “dogs” munching during a movie...might be more distracting than the people who refuse to turn their cell phones off.

Yes. All is well. I've got a few things to wrap up before really getting started on summer break. SWMBO has a honey do list that seems to be growing by the day.

I also need to get back to doing some instructional videos for Mac-using teachers in my area.

And he's 59 years young. Hope for us all.

Sounds like you are an instructor? I’m a retired educator myself.

I'm currently working as a speech-language therapist in the public school system. What was your area?
