Off to fill my BBQ tank…let the grilling begin!

I may be tome to also buy a spare so that you always have one full and available if you don't already. ;-)

Hi Patrick, I think one will do....my issue is my tank is never out in the elements and looks better than some sold as new...but as it is 10 years old I have to get a new one....so that would be two tanks and I don’t do that much BBQing . But I am looking at getting one with a gauge on it.

But I am looking at getting one with a gauge on it.

The last 20 lb replacement propane tanks I purchased from Costco a few years ago came complete with gauge but it is hard and awkward to read when the tank is in the barbecue cabinet.

I haven't looked to see if it can be rotated at all so that it is easier to read, but we always have a spare in case it runs out which it will often do right when you don't want it to. :-(

Morning all. Warm and wet here. For those of you who are not in Canada, it’s Victoria Day here...so a long weekend. It’s a holiday named after a Queen and not a Spice Girl...

I am enjoying a Foster Banana coffee this morning....sounds weird but it is delicious.

It’s PBS day today...so will be watching Marple and Ridley Road.

Lots of fireworks this weekend....poor Guinness....fireworks and dogs don’t seem to go together.

Thought of the day..... sometimes our “vision” clouds of view

We got away with no damage in the storm but wow was it fast and hard. I heard reports winds went past 130km. It was fast but there are a lot of streets here with downed limbs off big trees smashed in cars etc. glad I have a back garage to park in.

Wow, as they say. 80mph winds - in May - in Toronto. We've only ever visited Toronto, maybe 6 or 7 times in my lifetime, usually staying with my wife's friends for a week or two and I didn't realise this was the norm nowadays.

Glad all was OK for you and your family.

Good to hear Groove. Talked to my son who lives in Ottawa, he was in Huntsville and missed the storm, but he has heard power is down where his home in Ottawa is ...so he will find out about his home tomorrow

Ottawa got hit pretty good from my pals up there. Here I think uxbridge/Durham region got it the hardest. Whole roofs taken off houses. I think most of mine is intact.

yeah these sort of fast hard storms has been happening more and more frequently here. I don’t recall them ever happening this much here in my lifetime, other than once in a blue moon ones. Certainly don’t remember lower downtown flooding to that degree either.

Good Monday morning all. Was quite chilly last night…only 14c today…and damp.

Opened the last of my Butter Toffee coffee…hoping my new shipment comes in before it’s gone…… I’ve started days without coffee before….my court case is still pending….

Will be movie day tomorrow….off to see the new Downton Abbey film….I like stories about common folk don’t you?

And my thought for the day….. shockingly it seems good to be reminded

I'd better make sure my mom doesn't run out of coffee then. :)

Hi Slydude, does she get a wee bit grumpy without the daily cup or three?
How are you doing this evening...well I hope.

One cup in the morning is usually sufficient. Sometimes there is a second cup mid-afternoon. When we were kids she used to get up a few minutes earlier than necessary just to have a little peace and quiet with her cup of coffee.

I've never actually tried depriving her of coffee to see what would happen. Somehow I think that would not go well for me. On the other hand, I have three little brothers . . . :)

My wife is usually pretty on it if my coffee supply seems low. Not that she goes to get it, but I get a reminder.

Mine doesn’t drink coffee....so...it’s up to me, and as you know I prefer the flavoured variety.....but no French Press Groove.

Mine doesn’t either, (tea only) but it’s to ensure the bear is tamed.

there are ‘co-workers’ out there who are keenly aware of my need for good coffee having travelled extensively throughout the US, which in many places had the worst coffee on the planet (in my opinion). Strangely certain areas and cities had fantastic brews.

not so sure about the beer (being Canadian ;) )
