Most Mac users don't look at it this way. A lack of options is fine with me. The race to constantly upgrade to newer and better devices is a decidedly PC oriented mentality. Nothing wrong with it, if that's your thing, but when PC users start looking at Macs it's one of the first things they get irritated about.
"No choice of video cards!", and their heads explode.
I think it's more along the lines of their choice of video cards are dated. They work fine for OS X, but if Apple is trying to market that they can do everything a PC can, They're going to have problems when people start complaining that they can't run games or do things that certain 3D PC programs can because of limitations.
If they atleast offered a refresh of machines with video cards at a closer interval, that could potentially attract more purchasers.
I mean, you can even get budget laptops and pc's with dedicated GPU's at this point.
I still have my gaming PC. That's not why I bought the mbp. The recording software I want to use is OS X only, so that's what I went with.
