That would have to Konfabulator, that particular widget comes included with the program. But the program is not free.

i mean, not to be rude but why does it look like none does anything to their desktops excpet apply a theme and get some new icons and maybe make the dock invisible?

I just dont understand, if you look at PC modders there going all out changing ever aspect of the desktop possible, why does no one do this to mac desktops.

That just might be because Apple interface is pretty hard to improve on––Windows makes it reeeaaal easy to make yourself look good ;)

yea, Ive seen people who make it look like osx, it may look good, but its still not gonna perform like a mac, its like those people who put those idiotic(not to offend anyone) stickers all over their cars, like the stickers add horsepower or something.

Hehe "MAC OS X cannot run on the X 86 chip, not even with emulation" How many times have you heard that one?!?! You must understand right now this is about 1/10 of the performance of even a lackluster G4, however it does work, with no errors. www.pearpc.net, open source project still in extreme early development. They expect to be at about 50% speed someday.... The surprising thing is that this has project has given alot of people that are die hard PC fans to try the mac for the price of borrowing a OS X cd from a friend or buying it and actually falling in love with something they thaught was a total waste, and purchasing a mac. Alot of people are trying this and now extremly open towards the mac. Just thaught I would fill in the uninformed, these dekstop pics threads are the best to make a couple people flip there lid!

Yep, I've seen PearPC on "The Screen Savers" before, I think. I made that remark, because I didn't know how to comment on it. It's definitely a different snapshot of a desktop from the other ones in this thread. Ya can't blame Windows users for wanting a scrumptious piece of the Mac OS X cake.

Its never enough to get close to replace the mac for anyone, but it does give the people that say they can't afford to try a mac a chance to give it a go and see the light!

Heres some shots for people that have never seen it before, eXpose works as well

I forgot to add if anyone is a follower or interested in Mac emulation for the PC, do not beleive Cherry OS www.cherryos.com with there lies of 80% speed of a G4, blah blah. They ripped the code right off of pear pc and are attempting to sell it with a different name, I will be extremly surprised if it is a whole different peace of software.

I agree, nothing wrong with the windows user seeing a little bit of the light. But as I like to put it, "Experience the blue screen of life". Sooner or later, they'll want the real thing.

Man doesn't XP look so toy like, almost as if it is a joke compared to OS X when you see them both next to each other. If it weren't for games I would have no reason to own a PC as well

Yup! :mac:

Yet another USELESS thing trying to copy Mac OS that just slows windows down  and its far worse than Aqua (Aqua RULESSSS)

Example of how CHEAP some windows users are : http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,63256,00.html

They copy the GUI, but won't even buy a freakin Mac!

Well looks can fool people, but when it gets a BSOD, people will realise!

A recently released theme for XP that looks like the Jaguar iteration of OS X was downloaded 50,000 times

Now they're even trying to EMULATE Mac OS X!!!!!!!!
