Have to take the MacBook in today.

Looks like the logic board is borking itself to death.

All data is backed up and ready to go.

A week without my baby.

I, I already feel kinda ill.

;_;

Why is it that the kids that don't take care of their stuff don't have problems with their Macs?

Good luck Babarnette!

I had to change the fuel pump on my truck weds night. Went to pick up my bike, and was stuck doing 15mph on the way back. Giving it any gas would cause it to stall. Worked great afterwards, but had trouble starting this morning, not exactly sure why.

Aren't car troubles a pain?
I wouldn't know, but we think my moms car needs a new fuel pump as well.
It does the same thing,
you gas it,
you lose.

But it seems to be random, as in, we are going down the highway in a snowstorm and it's great (minus the snowstorm part), then you give it gas and it just stalls......how annoying.
But, we don't think it's going to be worth it, so it's just sitting there for now until we figure out what we are going to do, it's too dang cold to even look at it.

So, looks like we might have to say Rust in Peace little purple 97 Dodge Neon sedan.

ANyway,
Alas, M-F, I AM BACK!

I don't have school today because of exam week, which is OVER! (HALLELUJAH)
I think I did okay on most of them, except french! That was extremely hard, but we have this student teacher, who is REALLY cool, and she made us cupcakes.

She says cool stuff like
"Take out your books, AND GIVE THEM A BIG HUG! LOOOOOOOOVES IT!"
It makes me happy inside.O:)

I know I did good on my math exam, french might be my weak spot.
Didn't have a third hour exam (Band) so I got to go home at 11,
Econ, that was really hard, we had to know the countries in the middle east and 50 in Europe, and I pretty much failed that part, but I managed to scrape up a B with the 15 extra credit points we get for not being tardy a single time. Science, well, I was the most worried about this exam since I don't understand any of that, my test scores are about 60%, and yet the exams felt easy even though I didn't study and I still don't understand it, so I got an 87%. I just hope I didn't bomb the french exam.

So for that, a 4 day weekend (And I don't have school on tuesday),
which is a perfectly good reason to pig out and eat like an elephant all night and day.

I"M OFF!

Oh, and by the way, this morning i had the BEST breakfast! All the good foods were on sale, so we had doughnuts, and Cinncredibles (WHICH ARE THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS EVER! BUY SOME, NOW!), and Chocolate Milk!
MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

It was like I died of high blood pressure and went to fat people heaven.;D

Speaking of weight, I have lost about 40lbs in the past 9 months, i'm about to my goal weight, but I look at my stomach, and it still is not even close to flat, so it looks like i'll have to turn those last extra fat pounds into SUPER LEAN MUSCLES. HECK YES............i'm going to go have some potato chips now haha....kidding.

Do you hear a loud buzzing from the gas tank? If so, I'd say it most likely is the fuel pump.

I don't remember, it was about a month and a half ago, it's been so cold we haven't even touched it.
My mom likes her '94 GMC Safari too much to care during these winter months, until she gets to the gas station, then you need to leave the area ASAP.

Anyone have the original Sims for Mac?
Is it much different from the PC version?
I have this ancient PC set up right next to my bed so I can play it....it looks very ugly.

Weekend plans for the Mac children?

Why is it that the kids that don't take care of their stuff don't have problems with their Macs?

The guy at the Apple store told me to do an archive and install, and that it should work.

It didn't. Left it up while I was gone to see if it was going to self reboot, and indeed, it did.

This means that they're going to be sending my baby into the diagnostic shop.

A minimum of 5 days without my MacBook. ;_;

Good morning! It's foggy and rainy here, and supposed to be very windy later in the afternoon (gusts to 50mi/hr (80km/hr)). Tedious day at work today, dealing with junk on a windows system.

Tonight I have a date! I'm taking my daughter to a Girl Scout Father Daughter Dance. First we're going to dinner at a nice restaurant, then we'll go to the dance. This is the third year we've done it. She's now 9 y.o. It's nice in lots of ways, but one thing I really like about it is the example it shows her: Here's how a date should be treating you. Obviously this isn't something she'll be needing to know today, but when the time comes that she *is* dating, hopefully she'll have a data point or two to help decide if she's being treated well or not.

Ugh - I'm in total withdrawal. My MBP has been gone for only 24 hours and I miss her badly.

I am now almost fully functional on a Dell Latitude D600 borrowed from work, running Ubuntu 7.10. It works OK, but wireless is still difficult to get working on Ubuntu - easier than in previous versions, but I spent quite a bit of time getting this Broadcom chipset functional.

Fortunately, I'm back online and checking emails once again. My new MBP is still on the slow boat from China. My guess is it'll be here Tuesday or Wednesday. What a drag.... maybe I should've paid for the express shipping. Just have to keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end :)

Happy weekend everyone... hope it's not as rainy and miserable everywhere else as it is here.

Hurrumph. A blizzard anywhere else is flurries in Winnipeg.

UPS has yet to switch its trucks back to wheels from sleigh runners, so anyone here waiting for a new Mac still has to add two weeks to any order (little-known fact).

Good morning all! This will be my last post for a while, I will be going away for a few weeks with the Army. I probably won't have internet access so let M-F withdrawals begin.

Good luck, man ! And like MO says, stay safe.

See you when you get back. :)

I'm anxiously waiting for my final grades for the trimester to be posted online, so far they ALL are except for the ONE class where she hasn't posted the exam grade yet.....which was the FIRST exam we had...on Tuesday. I love how shes like YES, I WILL FOR SURE HAVE YOUR EXAMS GRADED AND POSTED ONLINE TONIGHT! FOR SURE! TONIGHT! I WILL GRADE THEM, TONIGHT, YOUR EXAMS, FOR SURE, GRADED, YES, TONIGHT, ONLINE, POSTED, EXAMS, GRADED, YES, POSTED, ONLINE, TONIGHT, FOR SURE, MMHMM, THAT'S RIGHT, EXAMS, TONIGHT, GRADED, YES SIR, GRADED, THEY WILL BE, GRADED, BY ME, GRADED, TONIGHT, BLURGITY BLURG BLURG GIBBER MCFILBBER FEE FI FO FIBBER BONZIBBER.
....Well, that was Tuesday morning, it's now Saturday.....get with it lady......at least TELL is you are intentionally going to not care. I mean it's not like she doesn't have any time, we were the FIRST class to take the exam, and exams were that whole week except friday, so I would have thought she WOULD have graded them while the other classes are taking their exams, like all the other teachers did....what else could she possibly be doing? I mean she only had like 5 hours while exams were going on.....what excuse could she have.....not to mention grades were due YESTERDAY.

Ranting over.
