Not sure how much insurance will help, just remembered that I have a $1k deductible.

Know that's a drag stretch, glad you're OK though.

You'll probly be a little sore in the morning.

just wrecked my truck. Slid off the road and into a ditch. Popped out of the ditch and slid sideways through a field. Broke something in the right front wheel, in now sits at a angle and the bumper is all bent in.

I'm ok, just hit my head on the roof. Gonna call the insurance co tomorrow and see what I need to do.

Oh no, Stretch - that's horrible. Glad to hear you're OK though, as always, that's the important thing.

Let's hope everything gets settled quickly. I assume the truck is still at least somewhat road-worthy and that you didn't have to get it towed to a shop?

Well, it has been way to long since I've posted here. My life has been the craziest it has ever been the past couple of weeks. I'm finally on spring break, but before I know it, it will be over and I will be busy with school again.

I'm finally heading up to Chicago to get the optical drive replaced in my MBP. I also have seemed to of figured out that my ram has been causing kernel panics all the time. I took out the 3rd party ram and left in the Apple brand and my MBP has been running just fine.

I just thought I would let you all know that I am still alive, I just can't say "hey" as often as I would like anymore since it's getting to the point where I need to keep up the good school work before I graduate, then I have the pressures of finding a job. I'll be sure to stop by again sometime soon! Hope you all are doing well! :)

Road worthy in the sense that it moves along under its own power? Yes. Road worthy in the sense that it drives properly, and should be driven? No, the RF wheel drags. It doesn't steer anymore.

Got it to a garage today. Turns out the frame is also bent. Maybe I'm just cursed, and not meant to have a truck.

You can look at it one of two ways.

1. You weren't meant to have a truck. You have proof of that by having wrecked it.

2. You were meant to have a truck, and have it save your life. You have proof of that by virtue of the truck getting damaged and you're still very much alive, albeit a bit banged up.

Trucks are things, nothing more nothing less. They can be replaced; you cannot. 'Tis a far better thing for the truck to absorb the damage versus you. I know it's inconvenient to have wrecked your truck, but you're still here, and that's a good thing! :D

That's a great way to look at it. I would say there's one more way to look at it:

3. You weren't meant to have that particular truck. Something better is out there.

This is true.

What kind of truck is it?

Awesome show, season 2 gets insane!!

Well I made it to Chicago safe and sound...barely. I noticed right before I was getting to my friend's apartment, i would take my foot off of the accelerator, and my car wouldn't slow down, like it was on cruise control. Then when I put it in park. My RPMs jumped up to 2500!! I started freaking out so I shut the car off and a bunch of fluid spilled out from underneath the hood! I think my coolant take blew something. Now I can only drive it when the car is cold. If it heats up to much I'm afraid the engine will overheat.

I think there is an auto-body shop less than a mile from here so I'll have to take it there. Thankfully this didn't happen when I was stuck in the traffic jam on the expressway. I'm very grateful for that and it didn't happen until I got to my destination.

Hi Todd! Good luck with your car.

Hi Skye! Good seeing you.

I will be visiting M-F this afternoon, and perhaps a little tonight. Tomorrow I fly up to NH (fly to Boston, drive to NH). Issues with aging mother. I'll return to the DC area Sunday. I don't expect to be on IRC Sunday night, but time will tell.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!

A hose for the coolant to get to the engine and the lower intake manifold? I guess they have to get into the engine to get at the manifold..being why it costs so much.

Ok, what kind of car is it? I have personally REBUILT my truck engine and few quad tophalfs redone. That dont sound right. True, you have to take some stuff out, generally because they are always tight on space, but I dont know about that.
