Right now I'm faced with two decisions. The first is to keep living my current way of life. Working 50 hour weeks and having no social life (I'm 22 if this helps at all). However I have my own place and the freedom that comes with it.

My other choice is to move in with my mom for a few months save up and then go to hawaii to live with some family members and in 1 year go to community college. My social life would be great as I already have some acquaintances there and people are a a lot friendly there in this part of Oregon. I want to go to hawaii but feel like I am making a bad decision for some reason. Any ideas/input?

Wow that is pretty bad. I mainly just hate the fact that I can't go to sleep when I want to, I have to wait for things to calm down next door.

As for your question, based on the points you told us, this is what I would do. If you think you'll be happier going to Hawaii for a year or so and go to college then do it. I can see where the money would be nice and the security of the job right now, but your 22 years old! I think you should go out, have fun, meet some people. You've got your whole life to sit and work, go out and have fun while your young!

Where do you want to be in five years? Ten years? What will it take to get you there? A bit of hardship along the way might mean life is much better in the not-too-distant future. It's your choice. (The questions are rhetorical. You needn't answer them here, but it's in your own best interest to answer them for yourself.) Good luck!

Ah.......back at work.....forced to use a PC.....I really wish better APPS and support would be released for developing ASP.Net on a Mac. Hard to argue against using a PC without it! Oh well....makes me appreciate my sleek, sexy, aluminum adulteress even more when I get home!

ASP.Net is a microsoft platform, and is generally only supported on Microsoft Servers. There are patches and upgrades for Apache to run ASP.Net, but it's a long grueling process, not hardly worth it. You can use Dreamweaver to create and edit files, but as of right now, there's no easy way to develop locally on a mac. Microsoft has the Visual Studio ($$$$), and Visual Web Express (free), that have the entire development environment (Editor, SQL Server, etc...) all in one. Anywho, I just felt like complaining!

There's no reason why you can't use ASP to generate a fully standards-compliant website. It's not difficult; many people do.

Many others don't. But that's the developer's decision.

With all this work i'm having done on my mouth its a major pain, so i haven't been playing as much as I used to. Now with the herbst appliance on my jaw it limits some motion of my mouth/face and I cant as high as I used to, for 9 whole months, I guess i'll have to stick to notes on and below the staff...........(sigh)

Haha.......keep at it, and it will come in time. Once you get all the metal out of your mouth, your chops will be twice as strong! Work on your tone man.....that way, when you do get top the Upper Register again, those notes just sing instead of screech! I do love me some high notes!

I hate to be one of those "I was disappointed" people, but I was. I've been looking forward to an ultraportable, but can't deal with the lack of ports and a dock - particularly when there's no optical drive. For $1700, it should come with a dock at the very least with an integrated optical drive. It's just not enough computer for the money.

I agree, the Apple TV is much more appealing, especially at the reduced price.

The Time Capsule is a great idea. Apple needed a NAS solution, too bad it has no redundancy. For the same money, I bought a D-Link DNS-323 NAS with 2 250GB SATA drives that run in a mirrored configuration. Not only can I send backups to it, but it also has a built-in iTunes server, print server and a lot more. What's more, is that it's completely redundant, so I don't need to worry about a drive failure or backing it up.

The iPhone updates looked like more positive steps in the right direction.

Those are my initial reactions. I was actually considering buying a C2D 15" MBP, but wanted to wait to see if the ultraportable was desirable to me. At this point, I'm just not feeling it...

My car was broken into early this morning. Well, I left my doors unlocked. Whoever it was, he/she took a couple dollars in change, my iPod shuffle, and my bible. Funny cause I had the bible and Koran next to each other in the car, but the thief only took the bible.
I'd rather have them take my iPod than having them break my window(s).

And my camcorder needs to be sent in for repair. It clunked out on me.
What a day.
