I don't think so bc it requires an OS and I just nuked mine. (posting on my iMac again)

One of the methods mention changing the system date back to 2019, did you try that?

If you boot from the installer USB, you should be able to get to the Contents folder as the bottom of that article says and get rid of the offending plist. Or you could do that on the iMac. The installer app should be on the USB drive.

I managed to reinstall Sierra and from there downloaded a fresh Catalina OS to my bootable disc and install it properly. Seems to be working fine. Great, although chaotic, learning experience.

I know that feeling well. usually due to something I've caused or at least could have avoided.
