Once Verizon gets the iPhone and switches their service platform will the older iPones work with Verizon?
i was giving a guy at att a hard time cause my otterbox is falling apart and it is a month old and they wernt willing to help. i said i cant wait for iphone to go to verizon and he said i bet it wont be long. i dont know if he was lieing or not
Don't you mean "if" vice "once"? Nobody has announced anything to date about a VZW version of the iPhone.
No it should read once they get it. Verizon will be getting the iPhone. When they do, you owe me $5.
and baggs, I did pull this out my PRETTY DANCING PONIES, and i have no clue what Im talking about.... just saving you the trouble of typing that, as its your usual type of response to anyone posting about anything.
I'll be waiting for my $5 on 1 Feb.
You know what would be kind of crazy too. The new chip that they will be putting in the "Verizon Iphone", well what if it too were a dual core chip. All the android phones seem to be doing it (or at least new year) and I bet that apple will probably incorporate dual cores into the new chips that will power their new phone. What do you think? (Let's all try and get along this time so that the moderators don't lock my thread...)
Oh please tell me where i mentioned ANYTHING about Feb 1st ?????

You didn't but all the rumors are saying "January of 2011" for a VZW iPhone. My guess is if it happens, it will happen when the iPhone 5 comes out with LTE that will be compatible with AT&T AND VZW, not January.
Either way, we shall see what happens....
From what I have read the rumors are claiming it will be a dual mode (CDMA/GSM) chipset that will work "on all carriers world wide" but NOT being 4G/LTE capable. That's if you believe rumors.
