You didn't mention exactly what G4 Tower model you have...but to the best of my knowledge there is nothing special about the power cord...so you should be able to use just about any "standard" computer or monitor power cord.

Failing availability of a specific computer cord, did you know you can use an electric jug cord as a substitute? They tend to be a tad short, so an extension lead is often necessary.

PS. you (or a Mod) might want to think about removing that email address using Edit, because spammers will be on to that very quickly. You should ask people to PM you, not give an email address.

I've called some stores (radio shack, best buy) and they said they don't have anything that would work. pretty sure that's not true, but ya. So it's just a typical three pronged computer cord?

Definitely. Apple uses very compatible wires. USB, Ethernet, FireWire, plain old electric cord.

Go to your local Thrift Store...or a local flea market...I'm sure you can find one.

By the way you said that you called Best Buy & Radio Shack...what about these items from each store:

The Best Buy link isn't working...but go to BestBuy.com...and search for this: "Dynex® - 6' AC Power Replacement Cable
Model: DX-C101751 | SKU: 7003128

Enercell™ 6-Ft. AC Power Cord (Black) - RadioShack.com

Hope this helps,

- Nick

It was a three pronged one, but Radio Shack has it on the site for $9. I'll probably just pick that up. Thanks!
