I'm thinking of getting one. But they are way expensive still.

Are you getting one? :)

MacAddikt, that is a pretty big difference from 10 gig. If it were a couple hundred meg, that'd be ok, but a gig and half?

So what is the actual size of the drive? I thought that is what you meant. But you mean you intentially keep a gig free for on the spot file transfers.....

just updated my iPod. first i had a 10gig for windows and it was the old version, but as the new one has just come out ive ordered it with my new powerbook, got the 15gig model, dont really need the 30gig model, it weighs more and is thicker anyway.

Upgraded to 3rd gen 30GB Ipod

I had a 2nd gen 20 GB Ipod that I got with my powermac last June but upgraded to the new 30 GB model as soon as I got my Best Buy card. hehe (A Best Buy card is a very dangerous thing for me to have. )
I still have about 10 GB left to put songs on it. I like the style alot but had to get used to not switching songs or adjusting volume accidentally carrying it in my pocket. Yes, I know that is what the hold button is for. *S*
Anyway, I have been an Apple user since I got bored with my pc last June and it now sits in the other room, while I devote most of my time to my Dual 1ghz Powermac....I love this machine

I'm not far off of buying one. The refurb "pre-all color" models are just about the right price for me.
