Another great plugin for Safari. I have been using Inquisitor for maybe a year now. I would feel lost when I am in a hurry without it.

You can set Safari to download to any folder you want it to including the downloads folder.

On Windows though, Firefox is my favorite but been testing Safari with the latest Webkit build there also, but it's FF for me so far.

2. Safari is faster than Firefox. That's a fact.

I find Safari much slower than FF. I am a new Macophile, so was interested in checking out Safari. I have tested the same pages in both Safari and FF, and Safari takes 6-10 seconds to load while FF is instantaneous. Cleared cache and everything. Does not seem to be a hardware or connection issue.

I like Safari, but it is getting frustrating. Any ideas to improve?

Definitely better than IE, but if you have used FF before, then Safari isn't quite the 'newest and best thing." Do you issues with pages loading slowly?

I like all the customization that can be done with it. I like a lot of the plug ins.

Safari vs. Firefox--PAGE LOAD SPEED ISSUES

So why are some of us we having wildly different experiences with the speed of FF and Safari?

I am one of those who is about to dump Safari after a month or so of mostly using it. It definitely loads pages slower--significantly slower. Altho I like the look of Safari, I don't think I can take much more waiting around.

So I wonder what other people have done when they say it loads faster than FF.

Any clues???? (yes, I dumped the cache)

Safari used to load much slower than firefox for me, now it's the other way around. I think (but I'm not sure) that safari got faster after I updated it.

But I still use FF because of the add ons, mainly because it seems that the good plug ins for safari cost money, while FF add ons are for free.

I'm getting a sudden high surge in Safari users. My blog is getting 18% Safari users (but that might be cause there's a lot of mac fans), while a sports blog which has nothing to do with Apple is getting an unusual high of 35% Safari users. Weird is not the word.
