Sandwich - sliced pork with Branston Pickle followed by a couple of mini stollen things - simple but filled a hole.

ooh, good night for this.

went to "Lunds" a higher-end grocery before i got to work.

picked up 2 fried chicken breasts which i ate when i got here.

made a salad in their salad bar (used the romaine mix, some baby spinach, sprouts, onions, green peppers, a little cubed turkey, grated parmesian cheese, cherry tomatos, some superb croutons, and ceasar dressing. had a little of this after the chicken. saving the rest for later.

also picked up a bar of lindt creme brule chocolates and some snyders jalepeno flavored pretzel bits.

that should cover 12 hours or so.

I have a microwave, and a stove.

I am leaning towards making mac and cheese... but i don't like watching water boil.. (it never seams to until i walk away ;))

hmm.

mac and cheese is easy to spruce up though. add a little broccoli (my wife likes peas), maybe a bit of hot sauce/chili sauce. also dried onion flakes and loose chicken, beef or vegetable boullion are an easy way to flavor up anything you need to boil water for.

i actually got really good at preparing ramen with extra stuff.
mix in some cooked and shredded steak-um into drained roast beef ramen with a bit of extra black pepper, onion salt, garlic if you have it.
also sauteing [sp?] onion and/or garlic in butter and maybe a bit of red wine, then adding the ramen ingredients rocks!

i'll try to think of some other stuff...

ooh, and macaroni too, red sauce, cheese sauce, white sauce, clam sauce, whatever. again, keep some extras on hand, onion flakes, onion salt, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (easy stuff that keeps).

i'll tell you what. they don't know macaroni out here in the midwest like they do in jersey.
