I recommend everybody buy a cheap USB mouse — and test it with his Mac.

A good idea and suggestion, especially for those who only have a wireless mouse available, USB dongle type or Bluetooth.

I can see that my problem which I inadvertently almost repeated but thanks to a ‘Do you really want to turn BT off notice’ I avoided, has sparked off lots of interesting points.

Your suggestion Patrick for how to turn BT on from the keyboard would have been useful had I been unable to resolve it in the way I did so I will keep it in mind. At least Apple’s BT keyboard can be used when wired for recharging. It doesn’t work for the BT mouse because as soon as you connect it to recharge it won’t work.

I believe there were problems in the early days with BT but I have never had any since I have been using it.
