Position it so that the water if any remains, will drain out. Do not turn on your MacBook Pro until all the water is gone! Leave it off for several days at least. Keep your fingers crossed and hope that no water got onto the logic board while the machine was on.
And for goodness sake, use a notebook stand at home which will protect your machine from nasty spills while it also helps in the cooling process.
