Morning all. We are sunny and cool here today in Windsor but will hit 11c today.
I’m thinking Rum Hot Chocolate on the menu today.....served with warm Oatmeal cookies.....

I must start working on my yard work..... I miss my condo in this regard... it’s not that I’m lazy, but..............

It might be my old age, but when I saw this I thought how true.... I think it is important that we “house clean” and clear the clutter from time to time. Maybe that’s why many of us love dogs..... they are the paws that refreshes.....

We’re looking at our yard wondering if we will do the digging and stone work, or say all screw let’s pay someone to do it. I’ve been a DIYer most of my life for most things and I think with this shoulder taking it’s time I will break down and swallow my pride. And have a drink while I watch someone else do it.

I hear that! I would like to put a piano shaped patio in the front yard but it is meeting some resistance from my wife....as I only get one vote those plans will be put to rest...so lawn work it is.

Morning all. A bit chilly here today, but sunny.

Something a little different today, we have Newfie Screech flavoured coffee on today.....served with Maple Scones........yum!

I’m a radio guy.... I always have it on...but lately I’m getting less enamoured with it.....most stations here seem to be just a giant record....repeats, repeats, and repeats....even the banter by the DJs is repeated...is it just me or do your stations do the same thing? I use my Google Mini as my radio and I use Tunein...but it seems the same everywhere...... you notice this as well?

I thought this clever...so I’d thought I’d share...

Morning all, a bit chilly and damp here in Windsor.
Will be a busy day today as I’m building the new TV stand for the new TV...77 inch screen should do nicely.....

Wow. Though our 65 qled was a monster. People are buying bigger and bigger it seems, wonder when over 100” will become the norm. Not long I’d expect.

We have a 55, so the up tick will be great. They have some 80s but those are tooooo large, and the 100 will indeed be around the corner. I don’t think too many people say after buying a tv, “I wish I bought a smaller one”.

How is your shoulder doing? This damp weather probably won’t help.

Lovely pics. I live not to far from a village called Harrow, and they have an annual country fair.....love those old fashioned fairs.....they often have equipment displays....and the size and cost of those things is amazing...some over $300k...don’t know how anyone can afford being a farmer. I grew up in a rural district....got to admit I prefer city living.....especially during our winters here.

This is a 150 acre farm in south Northumberland which has diversified into tours, renting out space to a glamping company, brewery and coffee shop to make ends meet. Aparently 400 acres is the optimum size for survival as just a farm. They breed sheep (150 ewes, five tups) and raise pigs. Sally Urwin 'Diary of a Pint Size Farmer (Amazon) is a fun read.

The shoulder is progressing. Slowly unfortunately, 40 years of hitting with huge force under pressure wasn’t kind, thankfully they say it’s not damaged.

we started watching stay close on Netflix, wasn’t sure if I’d like it but by the end of episode 2 I’m hooked.

I was going to start ozarks (late I know) but seems like everyone’s watching it, and I was thinking I have too much screen time so I bought a couple actual books. Paper and everything, printed and all bound. What a wonder these are, there’s no on off switch.

Good for you! It’s amazing how many people still read books. I’ve been going through the classic fiction books lately..rereading Verne, Wells and such….quite a different writing style then than todays. What are you reading, if I may ask.

Of course you are. It has both pineapple and bacon. What's not to like?
Just doing some catch-up reading here, yes I'm a wee bit behind, and I just thought it interesting that a Canadian member would mention Hawaiian pizza, and in case nobody here knew, the Hawaiian pizza was actually created in Canada in 1962 by a Greek immigrant called Sam Panopoulos. His Hawaiian pizza, topped with maimly ham and pineapple and cheese, was not an Italian invention.

I know a few folks that do not like Hawaiian pizza. Is this because they have not tried that marvelous dish or has their culinary education been so sorely neglected?

Farm tour at lambing time...

I would think it was a little bit past normal lambing time, but the thought of a nice barbecue with some nice wood coals certainly crosses my mind with the smell of fresh mint being cut up for some nice mint sauce...

BTW... That is definitely one large tractor... complete with air conditioned cab no doubt... Nice touch... ;-)

Slydude different strokes I guess. Me, I love Hawaiian pizza, especially Windsor style. But, I also like pineapple on a BBQ burger as well.

Hello Patrick, how things on the Left Coast. Feeling better I hope.

Much betterThank you Rps, and much nicer being at home rather than the hospital and hopefully the last of the infections have been killed off with the antibiotics, but they are not the easiest things on one's guts!!!!

I got really fed up with my old iPhone 4 for multiple reasons while in the hospitalI and asked my sons to see if they could not find me a proper Dumb phone, that would meet my specifications, that would actually work properly And meet my needs for my very low Ccell phone usage

Eldest son found one that I have kept, that works very well and I am discovering it has even more features than I realized, right down to using Google Services whoch allows me to make a call using voice only If that was to be my choice.

It's an old-style flip phone which I am calling it my new smart dumb phone and it costs less than $80. The actual phone is the Alcatel GO FLIP™n 3 and is more than just a basic phone, Sucks phones are now referred to as feature phones and are becoming very popular with seniors and their simple use and largem buttons and text. I can't believe that an almost equivalent iPhone would cost about 10 times as much. No thanks.
