Your summary makes the movie sound much more interesting than the trailer that I saw did. I might wait till it leaves the theater to see it. These days I find that more comfortable than watching in a theater.
Hi Slydude, we have a discount Tuesday here…Windsor is a movie town…but with a population around 300,000 it doesn’t take too long for the public to see the show they wish…we often find a movie released on Thursday has quite a comfortable turnout on Tuesday afternoon…which is when we go…yesterday there were maybe 10 including us watching. If the film is too crowded when we buy we just choose another film…we usually see about 90% of the releases.

I do prefer Canadian lager. I will buy if you don't mind
I certainly don't mind. I've made many trips to Canada - granted always to Ontario - but loved the beers on offer.

Good on you Patrick.

I hope this is okay. A few years ago there was a nice guy that was being treated for cancer and gave us updates. I can't remember his screen name or anything but he always had positive and uplifting posts even though he was going through rough times. Was wondering if he was still among us.

If you mean this forum, I can think of such a person from South Wales (UK) and, as far as I know, he is still with us and does occasionally post.

I do recall he wasn't from the USA. I'll have to search back.

Morning all. Well it’s getting hot again in Canada’s banana belt....will hit 35c today...and it’s sunny.

I have a great but different coffee on today for the brave.... a Banana Foster...very subtle and surprisingly good.

Have been watching the tv series Vikings Valhalla... quite good.

I’ve been going through my music ... I’m trying to coax members of the ukulele group I belong to contribute to a video concert on the groups Facebook page. Have chosen July 20th as the upload date..hoping to get 10 videos...since we have 210 members that seems like a realistic target...can’t decide on whether I should do something current or old folky....leaning to what would be 60s protest songs, we will see.

We are under siege here with the annual May Fly infestation....we’re not too bad yet...I remember one year it was so bad that they used snow shovels to clean off the sidewalks downtown.....

Anyone a baseball fan? Is it me or are the teams playing a more NL style ( hit and run, bunts, stealing ) since the DH was adopted in both leagues....curious.

Thought for today.... I think this is especially important for young people...

I was just thinking about some members the other day that seem to be a bit conspicuous by their absence from their usual frequent posting and was wondering what had happened to some of them.

Such members, without any disrespect for many others I haven't included, off the top of my head as:https://www.mac-forums.com/members/harryb2448.42497/report

At least that's what the membership list info says regarding these members, and there are several others but I cannot remember their exact members handle name and the membership list doesn't seem to be very easily searchable.

The best to all members wherever they are and whatever they are up to these days and Happy Enjoyable Macking... ;)

It piques my interest too actually, so there's something for everyone!

Been distracted and haven't done much online social stuff lately.

Yes that's him! Thanks,
That's the person I referred to in #484. Didn't want to mention names. I believe he's doing all right.

Morning all...will be warm here again....

Thought of the day...

You should always learn from the mistakes of others, after all we don't live long enough to make them all ourselves.

For those who haven’t had a loving gaze in awhile, here’s one…..
There's nothing like a puppy. I train and show 2 dogs. Training instructors often say you have a blank slate in from of you with a puppy. What goes into its brain is up to the trainer/owner.

Somewhat true. We had a number of service dogs and their one consistent trait is love for their owner.

Morning all, we have a Light Roast on with just a kiss of Maple today. Served with warm scones and Bumbleberry jam...yum! Any takers.

Tried to see Elvis yesterday but was almost sold out so we passed...will pick it up on Tuesday....will let you know how it was.

It’s “Clean the BBQ Day “ today....such fun....oh well when it’s done will be in a hurry to mess it up again.

Maybe it’s me, but I’ve noticed that corn and carrots have risen in price tremendously lately....can’t help feel we are being gouged as they are locally grown items...hoping it is just a faze.

It’s PBS night tonight, I love watching Marple, Hotel Portofino, and Grantchester...must be my British heritage but English dramas are outstanding....do you have a favourite?

A thought of the day... I think this maybe true for most of us...we often get so wrapped up in the “me” we sometimes for get about the “you” .... as I’ve gotten older I’ve come to realize it is indeed all about “you” and not about the “me”

We truly don’t know what someone may be feeling at any given moment...the trick is for us to understand that.....

Just set all burners on high and leave it there for an hour or so...

And enjoy a few beers while it does a self clean on itself. A good BBQ wire brush will clean up any stubborn spots that might remain.

PS: don't forget to change the drippings catch can or add one if one never got installed in the first place when you got your BBQ.

PS: it's a bit early for local corn isn't it???
Maybe you are a lot warmer than we are but our corn is weeks late this year, even the early varieties.

BTW: Fresh young slender carrots are the new rage here, and not too excessive in cost. Tender and tasteful.
