The Beatles sue Apple over iPod, iTunes

This is pathetic on the part of Apple Corps and the Beatles. If the ipods and iTunes had sunk they wouldn't bother suing. As far as I can see Apple, at the moment, are not producing music, they are mediating it, like HMV, Virgin Megastore, and other record shops.

It would be a good move if Mssrs McCartney or Starr came forward to say "they don't care" and to endorse the fact that ipods and iTunes will gain the Beatles a wider audience around the world than ever before. Haven't they earned enough money?? A magnanimous gesture would be for the Beatles, if they won, and Apple Corps on their behalf to donate any settlement to charity. I will be boycotting the Beatles.

The Beatles

The Beatles are the best group on the face of the Earth. As a huge fan of their music, I wouldn't mind having it on iTunes.

But then again, I own practically all of their CDs, so it's kind of pointless in my case. ;)

However, boycotting the Beatles won't do anything. I sure won't boycott them. I love the Beatles, and I'm proud of that fact. I shall continue to listen to their music forever.

Paul McCartney has soo much appeal it's not even funny. I went to one of his concerts, and the place was packed with Beatles and McCartney fans. It was the best night of my life. :D

i saw mccartney at MSG and was glad i got free tickets. amazing show but 300 bucks for a ticket is just absurd. if it was all of the beatles in their prime i would probably spend the 300 bucks

at least i still have my 50 dollar phish and dmb shows that i love going to

I happen to own three beatles albums. And I must say, this has nothing to do with the beatles..just their record label...the only beatles alive now are paul and ringo....paul is a billionaare....I don't think he cares...plus, I'm pretty sure he doesn't own any of his songs anymore. Ringo is just a dushe. So, this is an interesting battle.....but hopefully it won't hurt apple computers too much, and maybe it'll get rid of apple corp?..who knows....apple and microsoft, and any big corporation...are almost constantly being sued by someone.

TylerMoney: Ringo Is Not A Douche!

For the record, Paul does own some of his own songs. I bet he probably does care about a company he helped start.

There is nothing wrong with Apple Corp. Besides, it was established waaaaaaaay before Apple Computers (1968 versus 1980s).

I'm sorry I spoke so strongley against Ringo. I just don't like him. I think he was the least important of the beatles.

Least important?!

Ringo was the Beatles' drummer. He kept the beat on all of the Beatles' songs. If that's not important, then I don't know what is.

I am not a Beatles fan. But I do know that the drummer is very important as beatlrs4Life stated.

Since they don't have a Bass man, then who is going to keep the beat.

Umm..Paul was the bass man...and Ringo has never been considered a good drummer. Anyone with any sort of beat at all could have done his job. Most people who are beatles fans feel this way about ringo....at least the people I've known, aquanted with, or spoken to. I'm just stating my opinion...I meant no harm....so..sure....Ringo is amazing...and a vital part of the band.....but apple corp. is evil!

Apple corps. still exists only to collect royalties for it's artists (The Beatles) so I hope they lose this. They are looking for a piece of the pie as someone said.
