protective cover for MacBook Pro keyboard

I just purchased a MacBook Pro and am looking for the same thing. I have a 4 year old who will be using the computer so I really need one! I haven't found anything, but I am thinking of possibly putting plastic saran wrap over the keyboard so nothing gets spilled on it, or as in your case, get dirty. I haven't tried it yet, but will!

With a 4yo its hard to watch him every second, i'd say keep all food and drink products away from the macbook pro but if you can't i recommend you try products from Moshi - moshi - purveyor of electronics fashion

they have products like:

Clearguard, palmguard, track guard and Ivisor AG which will protect your mac from spills from drinks and food items. speck also has good hardcases for macs as well.

check afew products out before buying, even try going to your local apple store for some advise.

I ended up purchasing the incase hardcase. Just put it on today, so far i'm pretty happy. I love the texture of it. All i have is a cell phone camera, but if anyone wants pictures I can take a few.

Still not sure If I want to buy a sleeve for it as well, I have a padded laptop spot in my backpack, so it might be a bit overkill, I havent decided...

Incase 17" Nylon Sleeve for MacBook Pro - Apple Store (U.S.)

i'm currently using a black incase hardshell for my 13" macbook pro and laptop sleeve when i take it outside. the only downside is that it gets hot very fast. anyone have experience with laptop sleeves with handles and if they're actually durable enough? i'm one of those tech guys that must always have my laptop with me (class, library, coffee shop (lol), train station).

LOL exactly my thoughts on that hemp case. i only wonder how much protection it offers if dropped

just bought one of these. i like it because its a hard shell sleeve. provides a little more protection.

I bought the black one about two months ago and really like it. I wasn't using iStat before, so I don't know if internal heat is higher or not but it seems to be operating with in specs. It never got hot to the touch before and it still doesn't so I would say no to any heating problems.

I've had my macbook pro in an incase case since I got it a couple of months ago. I haven't had any overheating issues, but it did put a gouge on the front of my computer. There is a little imperfection on the inside of the incase case that made the scratch. I'm getting over it, but slowly. I liked the case because it was kind of grippy under my fingers when I picked up the computer, now I hate it because of the marring!

Just had a Speck - see through satin (Purple) case delivered for my 13"MBP, the install was a breeze and took all of 1 minute and it looks great in purple....

A very neat product indeed, might have to pickup one of their Tuckpack Sleeves to go with it ;D

Top cover case

Anyone know of case that puts a protective border along the top case to prevent the typical cracks? I just had my top case replaced under AppleCare and I see stress fractures already...

i am in need of a case and possibly keyboard protection for my macbook pro 13 (2010 model) ...

i would honestly like a true carbon fiber case but all i have found are ones that are leather embossed or 'look' ... so i guess that is out of the question ...

only mac related cases i have delt with have been on my iphones ... and they are speck ... haven't had much issue with them ...

just wanting something for that little extra layer of cushion ... will be picking up a sleeve as well and then its all going into a messenger bag that i have for 14" models ...

Discontinued Macbook Pro Incase Hard Cover?

Does anyone know why they have discontinued the Macbook Pro (at least 13 inch) Incase hardshell cover? I wanted to get one but now they are saying they are discontinued so I'm just wondering if there are supposedly any problems with them... The Speck ones are still there, though.
