During our last week, well nearly two weeks, my wife and I have been flat out making arrangements, getting tests done, picking up supplies, arranging paperwork, visas etc, etc, for our return to Bali. My online time was not only limited but confined to essential communications so it's not too strange that I did not notice I was no longer receiving email notifications from threads I had subscribed to on this site.

Now settled back in Bali I realised that although I have been receiving the MF's Weekly Newsletter I have not received a email notification of any threads subscribed to since 26/11/20.

As I use my mobile devices a lot I am really reliant on Mail notifications of thread replies and the link therein to take me to the corresponding thread on my mobile browser. Only two steps involved, as it is now I have to open a browser go to this site from bookmarks search through subscribed threads check them all for recent replies read and repeat for each.

Is or has anyone else experienced this and how did you fix it?

I checked our data base and went through all your preferences. Email notification has been selected for threads you're subscribed to. I also checked your email address.

Let's see if anyone else is having the same problem. We have been through this before when several members were not receiving email notifications, but that seems to have been cleared up.

My last one was yesterday at 7:13AM. Nothing since then. Normally I would expect a dozen or so.

Are you getting other emails?
Every once in a while the email server my ISP uses some how locks up and I get no more emails at all - then I have to call them to fix that.

Yes Charlie, I got your reply as an email notification but not Patrick or Ian's. This is really weird.

It's not Spark, it's exactly the same on Mail and on both iPhone, MBP and iPad.

I did get notification of this one post at 6:20 pm. I've been out of touch because I'm traveling. There are NO other emails from any of the threads I've posted or are watching.

Did you confirm that there have been replies and there should have been email notifications?

Well, I got this one as well as the one from Ian and others,
No others seem to be messing.

FWIW: I and some others had this same email thread notification problem several months ago I believe it was, but it got fixed somehow.

It seems like this is intermittent with Rod since he receives some notifications. Real hard to track something like that down.

The staff reads all member posts and those from the Bot, therefore we do not rely on email notifications. That means we are not always aware when things go south.

Email notifications depend not only on the forum software but on the member's profile settings and the ISP which handles their mail account. Not easy to determine when things are going astray.

I'm getting some, but not all. I did not get another announcement about this thread, but I did for one other. It's hit or miss.
