I have been trying for weeks to get my new macbook pro connected to my PIXMA MX860. When I go to the Canon website, it says that there are no drivers for my OS system. Has anyone solved this? If so, how???

You haven't give us any info to go on. Which version of OS X are you using? You say a new MacBook Pro? It should have El Capitan installed if it is brand new and not just new to you. Have you tried attaching your Pixma MX 860 to the MacBook Pro by USB? If you have, your MacBook Pro should recognize the printer and install a driver if one is available. You do that by opening System Preferences, Printers & Scanners, attach your Canon printer by USB. You should then see your Canon listed on the left side. If a driver is available for El Capitan, it will be installed. You do not need to go to the Canon site.
