There was a live audio feed listed briefly. I clicked it and it's working, but now I don't see it shown in the thread. Was the post removed?

Yes, my bad. I thought he was a spammer. This is the feed:

I have reversed the infraction, but I'm working on getting his account status updated.

Is there a point, or is it just to annoy people?

Mostly to annoy people.

I mean, it was funny at first but then it just got kinda "Oh, meh."

Wonder if they got smart and decided to go with Li-Po batteries! Smaller Batteries, Larger Capacity & Lighter!

Ending the keynote on iTunes? No SnowLeopard? No new Mac Mini? No iMac update? No new iPhone firmware? *Wishes Steve Jobs did the keynote (Somehow I think he would have made it better)*

That's what happens when the rumor mill gets humming. People end up disappointed.

I have yet to see a keynote that didn't end like this.

what does "DRM free" mean?

Digital Rights Management free... i.e. no copy protection. It also means 256 kbps AAC, rather than 128 kbps, so the quality is much higher.

This one was pretty dissapointing considering it's the last ever. I don't mean to be rude, but iWork is not exactly a killer-app. iLife '09 looks nice and obviously the new MBP is great for those who can afford it, but there wasn't really much to go crazy over.

I was hoping for an update to Apple TV...

Big build up? Apple made it pretty clear that this was not a huge event for them - sending Phil Schiller instead of Steve, pulling out of Macworld.

It's like reading the critique of a movie before you go to see it - if you start out with diminished expectations and it ends up better than you thought, you'll be a lot more satisfied. The problem is that the rumor mills get whipped up into a fury and set the bar so high that people feel let down when the actual products are announced.

As always, take the rumors worth a grain of salt. More often then not, they're completely wrong.

I agree, but I think everyone was so hyped up for new hardware - and that expectation was set by the rumor mill. Phil Schiller doing MWSF should have clued everyone in that this was not going to be anything earth-shattering.
