...Okay so I went in to Ubuntu-Forums Irc for like 5 minutes, just to see what they were talking about. It happened that they all Mac Bashed for the entire 5 minutes...not a great experience.

So don't go there anymore, stick to the M-F IRC! We're fun folks! :D

If you want to, next Sunday we can maybe ask for the subject to be Ubuntu-bashing... ;)

Gee, Mac must be a LOT better than Ubuntu if they're bashing the former rather than raving about the latter!?

Strange they would be bashing OSX in there. Since they are Linux users I can see maybe some Windows comments, but bashing OSX is like bashing your close family! :D

Fanboys come in all religions I guess and the Ubuntu people are now Fanboys!

I know I was totally caught off guard. Usually I peek in there to ask a few questions about my server since there are always a lot of people in there. So I went in and thats all it was...mac bashing...bashing the hardware mostly and then the OS. Not a single windows bash.

I just checked and I have the latest Adium. The answer is no. There is Colloquy, Conversation, Linkinus and a few other clients out there. Opera browser had an IRC client also. A lot of the users on Mac Forums use Colloquy and some use conversation.

Which of the two is the better???

To me Colloquy but it's a personal thing. If you have no prejudice from the Windows say like Mirc, I think you would love Colloquy. I have found that people who were big Mirc users from their Windows days like Conversation or Linkinus better. I never liked Mirc at all.

I use Colloquy: it auto logs me in so I don't have to go through the sign in and stuff. IRC is kinda complicated for my brain.

I think that you will see which apps Growl supports by going to the website: I remember the devs having a list of supported apps.
