IRC really ain't that easy to me either, ambivalent. You have to enter the Mac-Forums chatroom and then you have to somehow register your username with the server otherwise you can't chat in there at all. Yesterday I was lucky: schweb was there and he registered me. Now I really wouldn't be able to guide you through the steps at all.

There ought to be a walkthrough for this and the steps that we need to do to get this thing to work... To some people like me, IRC is complicated stuff. Vive le iChat! Where you just have to click on a button and awayyyyy we gooooooooo!

That's not actually true. You can chat no matter what, however if you don't register your nick then you can't get "voice" which is just a fancy status thing, it has nothing to do with whether you can actually talk in the room or not.

Registering also makes sure no one else can use your nick.

The easiest and most simple way to go into the IRC room if you don't know anything is to follow the link DB shared, download Colloquy, and then just click on the #Mac-Forums link which will automatically connect you.

Intermission...

Well heck it isn't every year we're fifth in the league, ya know. And we've been waiting 14 years for the Cup. I wanna see the darn team win it before I die. :D

Ooh wee. Doesn't look like we're gonna win after all. In fact, it's pretty ugly out there.
