Woohoo. Got Ubuntu up and working on my new laptop. Got a Compaq Presario V3000T. Nice little computer. Its loaded, 2Ghz Intel C2D, 2GB RAM, 120GB HD, DVD-RW. I like it. Probably wouldn't have bought it normally, but I had a friend that owed me some money, and was looking to get rid of it, so I gave him $150 for it.

I changed my avatar during the Christmas season and adopted this new one afterwards. Phew, three avatars in the space of six months! The pace of change is just dizzying around here! :D

I will not be changing mine anytime soon either. I remember back in the day when a Mod turned mine upside down as a joke. :D

I get so confused sometimes when people change their Avatar's all the time and just when I get used to their current one!

Stretch, I have a Compaq V??? with an AMD 64 CPU that I have the latest Ubuntu installed on just to have something different to mess with. Works quite well.

I'm still getting it somewhat setup, but I have the majority of it working. Its got the extra large battery too, so battery life is around 6 hours. It will be nice to be able to sit at the couch again and still use the computer.

I was gonna try to install something else on it, but it has a weird unsupported chipset, so I decided to try linux, since I really didn't want to use windows.

no you are welcome to be weird, in fact i encourage it.

i just like my avatar and dont want to change it ;)

Ya, I like yours, it's rather funny. I changed mine a few times already this month... Derek sparked the idea for my current one. Maybe I should change my name too.

I will not be changing mine anytime soon either. I remember back in the day when Graphite turned mine upside down as a joke. :D

Was Graphite a Mod? What happened to him? I see his posts all over, started this thread even. I read his most recent posts... and tehy are all helpful.

Um, that old lady would be me. A 15 year old male.
LOL!

Whenever my friends see my camera they always want to play with it, but they for some reason NEVER flip the flash up, so i have a LOT of blurry pictures.

I like this one. While my friend had my camera, I was looking at pictures on her pink kodak.

That's not why I was laughing though. There isn't really a particular reason I was busting out laughing that day.

It's not as cool looking all tiny, so here it is!
