schweb is an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, smothered in secret sauce.

Dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with glitter.

I don't know why I said that.

I guess I get bored when I can't sleep and have nothing to say.

Oh wait I have a funny story:

My family and I went out for a movie, and on the way back my parents got into a huge fight, and they were throwing stuff and somehow pop got everywhere. Uh, that's not really the funny part so hold your laughter. ;)
Anyway, the pop got into the steering wheel, so all of a sudden in the middle of the night the horn starts BLARING!
I guess I was the only one who noticed, it wouldn't stop! I had to disconnect the battery, and it took like 20 minutes because it was pitch black and I couldn't find a flashlight and I had to feel around and everything.

It was the funniest part of my weekend. I guess it was just the image of this empty car with the horn blaring suddenly during the middle of the night.

Cleaning up the car the next day was a real pain. I mean I didn't help but it was painful to even WATCH! All sticky........everywhere!
I don't think our little Dodge Neon will ever be the same again.
Seriously if the stick stuff stays I will be ANGRY!
My dads car is all sticky because he's addicted to pop and he always spills it.
He drove me to my band concert, and the floor was so sticky that I went on stage and my shoes were all squeaky. LOL.

I guess i'm going to attempt to sleep again! Bye!

Hi all!!

I just registered to the forum few minutes ago. Thought this post would be the most appropriate place to write my 1st post and introduce myself as a new member :)

Currently I'm not a Mac owner (yet) but really thinking about switching from PC to Mac!! I'm interested in a MacBook or MacBook Pro but so far I haven't been able to make a clear decision between the 2 models lol

Anyway, nice to meet you all and looking forward chatting with you!!

Cheers

Thanks eric!!

I've already spent some time going through the different sections of the forum and read some good information/comments :)

At the moment, my main issue is trying to find out which Mac laptop would be the best and more appropriate for me.
To be honest, I like both the MacBook and MacBook Pro ;D and both are attractive for different reasons!

Mainly, I'm using a laptop for email, instant messaging, skype, listening music, watching movies and for some university work/project. Don't really play games.

I'm also a bit concerned about switching as I've been a PC user for many years and never really used a Mac but I reckon it's just a matter of time to get use to it :)

Fidou,

Hello Mate, welcome from me also.

I've been using PCs since the 80's and never thought I would switch, but this Vista thing bothered me. I just bought my Macbook in March and I've had no problem switching. The biggest difference that I've seen is that the Mac OS is more key combo oriented and I've been a mouser. I still use the mouse, but many of the important moves in OS X are with key combos and will take a little getting used to, but one combo at a time :)

You won't have any trouble using the Mac - it's really user friendly and when you have a problem just come here for help.

Again, welcome, Noel

Fidou,

I didn't answer your concern about which Mac laptop to buy - I have the 13" white Macbook. It's smaller than the Pro and a little lighter in weight, also less expensive. The Pro is neat with the aluminum casing, but that can get dinged up easier than the Macbook, which has a nice plastic finish that's easy to keep clean. But the larger size, while heavier and prone to damage, has a larger screen, which would be good for watching movies.

Some like the black Macbook, but it does show finger prints and dirt more easily than the white.

In any case, either is a Mac, and you can't lose for the kind of things you want it to do...

Good luck on your choice, Noel

I HATE my english class.
Mostly because the teacher.
THe class is made up of 99% him cramming HIS opinions down our throats and acting like it's fact.
I wrote an essay about ME, myself, MY LIFE, MY personality. He marked some points off of one of the paragraphs about how i like to find the fun in everything, and he wrote "I would actually argue the OPPOSITE of that."
I was like uh, are you kidding?
It's an OPINION. I know who I am!

Anyway, we are reading Romeo and Juliet.
He tries to tell it in "his own" way, meaning we learn nothing and he tells the story with a lot of "YO YO, ROMEO"s and "LET'S GET INTIMATE, BABY"s and "YOU'VE GOT THE MONEY, BUT HE'S GOT THE HONEY"s.

Today his lesson was:
Men have always been only about sex, women have always been only about love.

That's not the most stereotypical thing i've ever heard, no, not at all.....

Welcome to literature tests. "What do YOU think this meant/symbolized?" "Well, thought it was a very good image of self-sacrifice for another human." "Nope, your opinion is wrong, it really meant you are dumb and never right, and I am far superior to you and am always right."
