Someone trying to cause trouble. Posted a dumb link, then the thread got deleted and he got banned after a little back-and-forth clash took place.

I really dont see what people get out of coming to a Mac forums, just to stir up trouble. But I guess he had nothing else better to do.

Probably not. Was it a windows fan boy trying to start an argument or something else?

Saw Cloverfield yesterday on DVD. Great bass!!!. Movie could have been better without all that camera movement.

The creature was a baby "waking up from it's sleep"???... Man... some baby!

Cloverfield 2 apparently in the works.

IT'S SO FREAKIN' CUTE.

I really hope the missus does some sweet talkin' so I can buy this little angel.
Haha, that was a quick turnaround - from "ratty" to "cute, angel"!! I really enjoyed the one I had. I sold it because I didn't need a second laptop. Seeing yours does make me miss it a little. *sigh*

It was pretty good wasn't it?
The camera movement would have made it a lot better for me. After I watched it I was still a little irritated with the movement but now I like the movie in general.
Hope they fix it in Cloverfield 2.

CONGRATS!

I know, i was like "are we still talking about the same Mac?"
I've never even OWNED a PowerBook like that before and I miss it!

And, let's take a moment so I can acknowledge something.
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!!!!

Says it's 67. It's SO NICE outside.

I have a nice porch swing, and some long phone cords, maybe i'll be computing on my deck?
Sort of out there, but that's how nice it is!
I'd upload some pics, but i can't stand being inside, maybe from my PB outside.

IT'S SO NICE!
I LOVE IT!

Oh, it's still ratty. It's just adorable because it's so tiny.

I decided against buying it though.

I have other things that are more urgent buys.

Hey, I watched that two days ago. I don't see why people say it sucked... it wasn't bad. I actually thought it was more of a comedy, because of Bud, the camera guy. But that's just me. I watched it at 2am, so I was kinda unconscious when I watched it making things more funny. ***Line from movie*** "You guys ever hear about the flaming homeless guy who attacked people in a subway?" "Not the time now Bud" "Ok sorry... ... ... But really, wouldn't that be funny if some homeless flaming dude on fire pops out?"

I'm outside now.
On my porch swing.
Well ,it's more like a hammock, only you SIT in it. My feet are up on the porch swing though.
It's quite nice. Just ran the phone cord out the screen door across the deck, only about 15 feet. Power cord is about 15 feet to the other side to the outlet.

But this PowerBook is SLOW AS HECK!
I mean I like it......but it's only because it's the only laptop I have.
I can't really do much with it, 400mhz and 512MB the ram is maxed out, so I can't really squeeze much more out of it.
So it's slow going, but at least i'm outside!
The screen is hard to see too.

That's too bad.
I like those little scroll balls! To be fair, i've never owned a mighty mouse so wouldn't be able to say anything about how long they last.
I hated the "Pro" mouse though! Maybe it was just the particular one I got, but I would move the mouse and it wouldn't go anywhere!

To all living in Calgary general area:

... the MyMacDealer Service team sucks. there are a few nice people on it, but there is one that just lost their business to a different dealer.

Here's the story:

I had my hard drive replaced a while ago. i got it back, but the staff seemed tired of me so I didn't say anything about the fact there was a screw missing and the microphone didn't work.

I went to a different dealer just a while ago, when my iMac was having issues of it not recognizing USB devices, the iSight camera light was always on, and the camera wouldn't work. I brought it in. They got it on the bench today. At lunch, I get a call. Apparently, it's been "taken apart and very badly put together". I didn't take this machine apart. So WestWorld must have done a bad job putting it together. Because of this, they want $279 for parts and labor. I didn't wanna pay that, so I called AppleCare. AppleCare was very nice and they reasoned with the apple store to get the parts for free.
Fantastic.

Naturally, since I'm worried about the machine and the situation it's in, I call MMD to confirm. The guy, very rudely says "STOP Being IMPATIENT!" I understand you don't have a computer but you need to stop calling! (I called once before. What a [infraction goes here]!) In a weaker voice I try to explain to him what had happened. He said "We're still on the phone, it's a long process." I said really? the guy at apple said the whole thing was done and overwith. He says to me "God, just believe me for once!" I frightendly said "Ok, sorry, bye" and hung up.

How rude is that? I swear I'm never going there again. I like Bob, he's just the nicest guy, and a few others, but the others are just terrible.

Maybe you should record your conversations, then get the supervisor.
Just to make it sound worse, call back tonight and get the same person and record it. HA.
