I did that this year. Believe me, it's a lot of hard work, but also a lot of fun. Band camp is fun because you get to see all your friends a month before school starts (Of course going from 8 AM - 3 PM five days a week isn't exactly my idea of summer vacation) Football games are also fun, you just have to make time to socialize after the game. Competition can be a drag since it's usually on Saturday, but in the end its worth it.
The only part I didn't like was after school practice. 2 hours a day, (4-6, in addition to regular band class earlier in the day) 4 days a week, for three months. THAT was painful.
Enjoy it, and trust me, it'll be an experience.
Yeah, another thing that might be of difficulty is GETTING to all of those places!
I'm doing it, but i might tell him that i'm out for band camp, he's pretty flexible, but I don't really want to go to camp....at all.
But i'd have to start practicing.....which is a pain.
I mean it's not like I have the income of the first chair girl who can afford a trumpet for home AND school.
But I will be more accessible to the world once I get my license.
Anyways, my phone no longer seems to get service at my house, which is weird because I could always walk around and find one spot with a tiny tiny tiny tiny bit of signal, enough to send a text anyway.
Now nothing, but the weather has only improved!
That's what I get for having Virgin which uses useless SPRINT!
Useless in this area....useless I tell you!
But at least I get a good deal.
I'm getting in shape now...in case you're wondering where i've gone since i'm not obsessively online. I couldn't do 25 sit ups without stopping.....now I can do 50.
YAY FOR TAN-TAN.
lol.
We also traded our 1990 Fleetwood for a '97 Chrysler Sebring convertible, it's wrecked, but we have a '96 Sebring which was my grandmas which needs a new transmission so we're using it for parts.
Don't know what my dad's going to do with it when he gets it running, but our financial situation is pretty desperate from what I understand so i'm sure it's going to be sold. It's tough for all of us to sell that car, but i guess it's harder for me than everyone else. It still smells just like her, which is crazy because of all those cigarettes she smoked. I look at it and I feel warm inside, it just reminds me of her. It was something that she loved and she died so unexpectedly we never really got anything to remember her by, it all just happened so fast, there was so much pressure to sell her house. I would hate to see that car go, but with a house in foreclosure and a horrible economy here in Michigan...not to mention possible layoffs where my Dad works.
I just wish for times to get better in the state shaped of a mitten.
Well, I should say nationwide.
It's a real epidemic!
Anyway it's 73 degrees and we got NEW PATIO FURNITURE! For FREE! YES!
I'm going to do some OUTDOOR READING!
HECK YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
I'm so happy, but I have no idea why!
Oh well, you know what they say: THe best happiness is unexplained, and the most joyful laughter is for no reason!
Actually, i don't know who says that, considering I just made it up.....have a good day!
