Why do you torture us Northerners with all these temperature numbers? :p

Yeah! This sucks. We'd all be melting if it was that temp in C. I'm cold, with it being *checks temp widget* 19F!

Well I just got back from Chicago visiting some old friends. It was pretty fun and it snowed a lot so that was okay. Kinda stunk driving through it, but I'm safe and sound back at home now. I haven't been on since I got up there since my laptop died and I forgot to bring the charger.

We didn't do too much on New Year's Eve, except play a lot of Rock Band (that game is awesome) and drink some six packs. We finally went to bed around 4am. I had a lot of fun and I want to move back up there someday when I get out of school. Well now I believe I'm going to grab some food. I'll talk to everyone later.

Anyone see the outdoor NHL game today?

They built a rink in the football stadium in buffalo and played a game in the snow. It was sick.

I didn't see the game but I know that isn't the first time they have done that.

Yeah apparently they did one in Canada in 2003, but I didn't catch it. It was really unique. Some players were even wearing eyeblack!

On a drive up to a neighboring town I got stuck in white out conditions. Then chunks of ice started blowing across the road. They were about the size of nickels. The thing that sucked though was I put a nice chip in my windshield that I had just gotten replaced three days prior. It was crazy and cool all at the same time.
Anyway I was able to drive slowly (25mph) until I arrived at my destination.

Good evening. I had an avatar and sig image from the movie Leon for the new year. However, it just wasn't something I wanted for the long term, "long term" being about a month for me. Van Gogh fits far better. Enjoy!

I just got out of a meeting a few minutes ago. A few months ago I began working on a new project. I felt rather as an idiot on it, certainly overwhelmed, definitely under pressure. Seems I'm actually doing okay, given I just developed a proposal for how to improve aircraft operations outside of radar coverage. It's gotten the proverbial thumbs up internally. Past one more hurdle, it goes outside. We'll see how things go over the month. Near the end of the month I'll be meeting with people who will debate and accept or reject the proposal. Fwiw.

Good luck on the new proposal MO! I hope it all goes over well for you for the next couple of months.

I'm in the middle of trying to get things packed back up for my return to college. I have to do a LOT of laundry and get together all my electronics that I brought home.

I still haven't figured out what I want to buy with my $50 Apple gift card. I don't need a carrying case since I already have one. I thought about buying one of the case covers for my MBP that is listed at $49.99. I read some of the reviews though that say it sometimes doesn't fit right and doesn't let the screen fall all the way back. That would be a problem for me since I push my screen as far back as possible since the hinges are getting loose. Anybody have one of these cases? How are they?

Thank you Todd! Good luck with the packing.

Netty, I think lots of us do. It sounds as if you really do right now, yes?

Well, it's a little sad that the holidays are over but once I go back to work on tuesday and get back in the groove of things, I'll be fine. :)

Did you have good holidays though? (I'll guess you did.)

As far as getting back to work, I'll bet there's a bunch of kids who will be happy to see you. ^_^

Congrats iRye! Sounds like fun.

Even though today is a thursday, it doesn't feel like it. Can't wait for the weekend.
