Hello everyone! I have been away for a while and just thought I'd drop by and say hi!. Netty, how are things going with the new guy?

Hey! Things are going pretty good. We've been hanging out a lot. He's a great guy. He kind of spoils me a bit. We just went to Disneyland again, he bought me a sweater there, we're going to Knott's Berry Farm (theme park) this coming wednesday. He's also coming over for Christmas Eve, we got each other gifts. His family loves me, he'll meet mine on Christmas.

I'm not used to being spoiled, so it's kind of nice. I try to be generous as well. The only thing I kind of have a little issues with is that he has a lot of girl friends. And he's a friendly guy so he'll say hello, give them a hug. There's this one girl that's like his best friend and he gave her a kiss on the cheek in front of me. It was a friendly one, but I can't help it. I get a little jealous sometimes. But I think that's just an issue I have to deal with on my own. He may be friendly, hug some girl but in the end, he spends his time with me not them.

Also, no fights so far. I kind of want to get into a fight (haha:)) just to see how we deal with it but if we don't thats good too. I'm just used to fighting, my ex and I would fight all the time.

I'm happy for you, Netty. Fights are irritating.

Isn't it wonderful being spoiled? :p

Hi All, got back home yesterday after a long, long day of interviews. They all seemed to go well, but of course since they occurred right before Christmas break for most people, I probably won't hear anything until the new year. Meantime, thanks for all the good wishes people! They were much appreciated!

nukemm, are you SURE you want to sell this thing? You may regret it later. I know I have always regretted selling one of my earlier computers. We spend so much time with these machines, and lavish so much attention on them, that they almost feel like ... part of the family. Maybe you should hang on to it...

I think that way sometimes with some machines. My first 1.25Ghz G4 Mini served me so well as my first fairly powerful Mac and later as a media center. I had a friend who wanted a Mac so bad but is very poor. I sold it to him. Missed it and bought a Mac Forum members 1.5Ghz Mini to replace it. I know where you are coming from. Also to me the Mini is a very handy little system. So small it fits where nothing else will and works so well for it's size. It's always been a special machine to me.

Computers come and computers go in and out of my life, but the Mini among a very few other systems is one I really love.

Netty, glad things are going good with the new boyfriend, he sounds like an excellent guy. I wish I had a girl to spoil, but I guess that won't happen until I get a real job haha. I also have to get out of school before that can happen.

Well I'm on Christmas vacation with my parents. We were on the road for about 16 hours today so it wasn't TOO bad, but man am I exhausted. What is it about road trips that always make people tired? I even slept part of the way and I just feel like I'm going to fall over in my chair. Later all!

With my new home theatre system the Mini could have a place, but I don't have a real need for it anymore. :(

Greetings! Just ret'd home a short while ago from Williamsburg. Am back to my MacBook and M-F. Whee! :D

Netty, I can grok your issues. On Friends of the Opposite Sex, I have had friends who are girls, and that's okay; my wife has had friends who are guys too, which is also okay. Neither of us "share" however, and anything that would come close to violating that would be a problem. A peck on the cheek is okay. A passionate exchange would be an issue.

As regards fights, conflict is a part of relationships, imho. How you two deal with conflict will tell you something about the strength of your relationship. I know a couple who claims to never fight, and I think that's a little creepy. No two people think so much alike as to always get along perfectly. Conflict need not be loud, but it should represent differences in views and opinions. My wife and I disagree on lots of things, but we're able to discuss our differences fairly well (though it wasn't always that way). I think you're wise to want to know how well you and your bf deal with conflct.

My wife and I disagree on lots of stuff, but I don't think we have ever had what you would call a fight. Instead we talk about whatever it is, and either compromise, or one lets the other have their way. I guess it comes down to how important the issue under debate is to each of us.

Well that's good right? Or is that bad?

Oh, and it's officially Christmas here so Merry Christmas to all of you! I'm just about ready to head to bed. We opened up all of our gifts here this evening since some of my relatives are leaving tomorrow to beat some of the traffic.

I got an Apple gift card :))), a Gap gift card, and an Old Navy gift card so I'm definitely going to be doing some shopping tomorrow. I really wonder what I'm going to get at the Apple store. I guess I don't have to spend it right away. I'm thinking I'm going to put that and some of the cash I got as money to buy Leopard, that way I can reformat my hard drive before school starts back up again. Sound like a good idea? Any other suggestions for spending the Apple gift card? So far I think I'm going to lean towards buying Leopard.

Congratulations Netty. I hope that is what you wanted to hear and was said the way you wanted to hear. It is an easy thing to say, but not always and easy thing to do and the words bring with it responsibilities that often, many are not prepared to fulfill.

Good luck to you!

Did you ever pick a name?

My brothers and I all have the same initials-
TPS.
Me, Tanner Preston
my twin broter Tyler Peyton
and the baby of the family Trentin Paul.

My parents regret it now that we are older, but i think its cool.

Nope, not yet - we haven't been able to agree on anything :)

I still like Trevor William, but my wife is pretty ambivalent about that name. For some reason, she's stuck on 'last names' for first names - like, Connor, Carter, etc. I don't get that.

Good afternoon. It is around 1:15PM on an overcast day.

The workday actually goes well for the first time on this new project. I'm about to anger more than a few people with what I've found, but c'est la vie. Stay out of my way when I'm slinging math. O:)

My other project will be much easier tomorrow, crafting a little code here and there. That's always a fine way to end the work year. If it's anything like last week, I'll be done with much time to spare.

I hope everyone is having a fine day. Later!

Afternoon everyone. I'm about ready to pick up and head off for Chicago, even though it's snowing up there. Wish me luck in battling the roads!

Ah-I'm sure that is quite the dilemma.I won't have to deal with that for a while, but im sure i'll have pretty much no say in my childs name...i mean i might have a "say", but that just might be a myth just to make me FEEL like i have a say. lol.

Anyway good luck with that!
