Yep, it's here again - gotta go to work this weekend for a few hours though. :Grimmace:

But, am going to test drive at least one car tomorrow - so that oughta be fun. :D

Test drove the Altima coupe V6 a couple of days ago, pretty nice ride, though I don't know if the trunk is big enuff just for me, the wife and the dog to go on a trip.
Went to the Honda dealer - they had just received their first 2008 Accord coupe and were still getting it cleaned on the showroom floor. It's a pretty nice looking machine also.

And here's a pic my wife sent me, thought it was pretty cute.

Netty, it's called "new and fresh." It happens to anyone in long term relationship. Believe me, I know ~ I met my fiancé nearly ten years ago!

So what do I do...this new guy invited me to disneyland on a date and I said yes. We're going with his friend+friend's girlfriend. We go to the same school, both want to be teachers, he doesn't drink or do drugs..and on the other hand I have my b/f, where it's comfortable and I'm just used to the routine, but my b/f is not a college guy, he sort of had/has a drinking problem(DUI), has used drugs before (marijuana) but doesn't anymore....I feel bad comparing them but it's like this new guy has boyfriend potential and he's cute...

I'm sorry, I don't mean to put my life on blast...O:)

Netty, I think you're at an important crossroad. Only you can decide what you want your life to be like. If your boyfriend has shown (not just said?) that he desires improvement in his problem areas, I could see the benefit of staying. If he hasn't shown commitment there, I'd be cautious about the future with him.

I really do understand your dilemma. If you want to talk more in depth, PM me... I can give you more detail about my own experience.

I don't have any experience, but the best my lil' mind can figure out is:

Spend a bit of time with this person, see if you like him enough to dump your current boyfriend. You don't want to leave your current BF and realize that was a huge mistake.

Again, I don't have any experience.

not to sound jerkish but...

don't take advice from an online forum(though we are basically a family here) and follow your own thoughts, heart, life experiences, etc... it is your life and only you can live it and make it as good as you want it to be...

(i guess i just gave you advice on not following my advice, lol)

I mostly agree, skye. But it can help you sort out a situation when you open your heart to people who care and it generally doesn't hurt to accumulate knowledge from others' experiences. :)

Thanks guys, I do appreciate all your thoughts and opinions. It does help me. I've also gone to my mom and best friend for advice. They're basically telling me to go for it and see what happens with this new guy.

I'm 22 and I've been with my b/f for 5 1/2 years. I was rather young when we got together. Currently, he's 26 and has an okay job working for the city and goes to a vocational school. He wants to be a plumber, of all things! lol

Definitely nothing wrong with that. My dad was a master level plumber and owned his own business for almost 50 years. He did very well for our family. I'm a fan of the potomologists. ^_^

Is it more important to you to share life with another teacher or would you be just as happy with a plumber?

There's no 'wrong' answer, it's about what you want. Some people need their mate to be in the same field, some don't.
