Yes! My Cubbies won the first game of their double header today against the Cardinals. The Cubs are now on a 4 game win streak and the Cards are on a 8 game losing streak, so I don't care what the Cubs do in the second game tonight because the Cardinals (barring some miracle) are out of any type of playoff contention. Now we just have to worry about the Brewers, but I really think the Cubs are gonna take the division and make it to the playoffs. I know it's naive and premature to talk about the Cubs making the World Series, but I have some rules that I think they should enforce in the playoffs so they don't blow their chance at the big game like they did in 2003:
1.) NOBODY can sit in the first two rows of seats along the foul lines. (Thank Steve Bartman for this rule.)
2.) If somebody wants to bring their pet goat to the game, FOR GOSH SAKES LET THEM!
3.) Every time the Cubs give up a run in the playoffs they should all look up at the WGN Radio booth at Ron Santo and how disappointed he looks. He's the biggest Cubs fan on Earth and a Cubs legend. Win it for him.
Those are the only rules I can think of right now. I'm sure more will come to mind.
