I'm numb again ~ just returned from the dentist. Seems like I've spent most of the summer there. I've gone four times in the past seven weeks. It's getting old!

Ok, I'm a little shaken right now. I guess a buddy of mine was walking to class today and the guy in front of him just dropped to the ground and had a seizure. Luckily, there were 2 nursing students right there who kept him from swallowing his tongue and my friend was able to call 911 immediately, but I hope the guy is ok.

Holy cow, how many cavaties do you have?!? Haha, jk iKitten, I hate the dentist too. When I was younger I had braces for 8 years so I was back and forth between the dentist and orthodontist it seemed like every week.

I know how ya feel man. I hated going through the summer with no A/C. Luckily now I have moved and have A/C. :) But I'm still sorry for your loss.

Wow that's crazy. I've never seen anyone have a seizure, and I consider myself lucky that I haven't been put in that type of a position. Glad there were people around to take care of him!

I really don't want to work tonight, I'm in a productive mood right now and I could get a lot of school-work done. This will put a damper on my day tomorrow since I'll have to spend the afternoon doing everything I didn't get done tonight. Luckily, Friday is right around the corner!

you can't swallow your tongue, it is physically impossible and this is a myth about seizures. you can lay back and your tongue muscle can relax causing your tongue to block your airway but that is not swallowing it. when somebody is having a seizure you generally are to leave them alone, not putting anything in their mouth because that could cause them to choke.

sorry if i seem a bit passionate, as a PCA i am constantly (every month) being updated on proper procedures for seizures and such.

Well glad your moving experience is almost over with. Surely there's an unsecured network in your apartment building somewhere? ;)

Nope, there isnt, I've checked everyday so far. Nothing in range of my iMac.

About the new iPod Touch, I can't fit half my music collection on only 16GB Steve, give me a usable one please.

I had a friend who had epilepsy and it is distressing to see someone have a seizure!

I did have several cavaties as a teenager. This summer has been re-work. Two replacement fillings and two crowns. :p
I'm just thankful she's a good dentist.

Well just got home from work, I'm exhausted. The highlight of my night was seeing a girl I work with down in the office that I kind of like. I can't believe how open and nice she is even though I've just met her. I got home from work and to my surprise she added me on facebook as well. I'm going to have to invite this girl out sometime, she seems really cool.

Well hopefully everyone had a good day. Cubs won today which also made today go by better. I can't wait till school is done with tomorrow, I'll probably head over to the friend's house and play some games out in the backyard, it should be nice out. Have a good Thursday everyone!

Oh man, did you see that 8th inning? I pray the Cubbies will make it to the post-season. Right now, every single game can make or break them. It's nerve-racking and exciting at the same time.

BTW everyone, I mentioned this in another thread, Fred Thompson is officially in the presidential race. He just announced it on Jay Leno.

I presume the student finance company find it really amusing to make my life as awkward as possible?!

Sent off my details twice to them, only NOW (a week before i start) have they sorted it out. Received a letter today in the post requesting I go online to check the status as there is an issue with processing my details (again), and i cant... because the log in page doesnt work!!

*growls* someone really doesnt like me today obviously! :|

Sorry about my rant there, just needed to get that out.

No I was working all night so I didn't get a chance to see it. I'll be keeping an eye on the game when I'm working today also. I agree, I want them to make the playoffs but the race is so close I can barely contain myself with each run they give up!

So last night was really weird. In my last post here at the B&G I mentioned that I kinda liked this girl at work and she added me to facebook. RIGHT as I was closing out of Safari and almost Quit Adium, I got a new message from her. She must have gotten my screen-name off of my facebook profile. We end up having the most in-depth conversation of my life through an IM. I didn't get to bed till 2:30 last night and then just told me to call her if I was going out tonight and gave me her number. I've never met a girl like this so I guess I'll see how tonight goes. I told her I would probably see her at the bar around town later on. I hope she just isn't overly friendly and I'm taking signs all the wrong way. Oh well, I'm not going to get too excited about it because thats what I normally do and the whole thing ends up being a big let-down. Well I'm off to work now, have a good night everyone!

I just got back from my first Apple Store opening!! They opened a store at the mall here in Louisville. My boss asked if I was going to the grand opening. I said, sure when is it? She told me it was today @ 6PM!! I didn't even hear about it. The BBC sucks for local news. Very cool I got a free t-shirt and fondle a new iMac and iPods!! Sweet my very own Apple store. Woo Hoo!!

Good evening all

How are you all tonight?

You may have noticed in the thread called "I feel screwed over" in the Laptops forum that I did a pretty nasty rant. I hope none of you take that the wrong way and think i don't like apple. That is far from the truth.

I also like ranting :p :)

Thanks all.

We all like to get our frustrations out iRye. Bet we've all got a story or two.
Here's one of mine - Spent $1000 on a Samsung DirecTV DVR.
Died after 8 months - warranty was 12 months.
Samsung tech support staff was great - helpful, willing to get it fixed - only there were no parts, but should have some in within a couple of weeks.
Samsung corporate however, not so responsive to their customers needs - found out I wasn't the only one with a dead $1000 piece of electronics.
5 (yes, five) months later - still no part - no new machine - still without a replacement - and without a receiver for one of my TV's -
Samsung's options available to me were: 1) continue waiting or 2) take the $450 model in full trade for my $1000 model.
Well, I'll just say that Samsung has not been on my list for the last 3 high end TV's I've purchased, nor will they be back in my good graces for a long, long time.
