I love the GPS I installed in my car. Only one thing I don't like about it, is it doesn't use backroads unless the address I'm going to is on backroads. I take a shortcut to Clinton, and it wants me to take the long way. But I know where I'm going, so I don't use it all the time.

I think whenever I get out of college and move to a city I'll be in desperate need of one until I learn most of the roads and routes. I've been stuck on the bad side of a city late at night toooo many times.

So, now my room is all set up and adjusted as I wanted it to be in the first place. Got my desk in, my entertainment center set up, and I'm all good to go.

For the first time since 7th grade, I haven't had a Betamax machine in my setup, which feels off. I own seven or eight of the darn things (still trying to obtain an ED-Beta, but those are few and far between), and of those, six for sure still work, and two of them work very well (i.e. no repairs needed).

In the place of the Betas, I have a JVC BR-8600U VHS Editing Deck (non-rack mount) hooked up to the television for those times when I want to watch a VHS tape and only the best quality will do (S-VHS never really saw a lot of commercial releases).

Thought about organizing my CDs today, but I'm far too lazy to do such a thing. Probably going to wind up playing GTA IV instead.

Then work tomorrow, up at 5:30, punch in at 6:50, work till at least 5, come home, sleep, repeat.

Up every morning just to keep a job
I gotta find my way through the hustlin' mob,
The sounds of the city poundin' in my brain
While another day goes down the drain.

I think I shall be after you in the setup thread.
I organized my setup lately (Although a week later the clutter is slowly creeping back in until I can fight it off again), and i've been procrastinating putting the pictures up.

I'll do that now.

Well, my father and I just got done with all the yard-work for the day. It's beautiful outside today. I think we are going to go and see Iron Man before we eat with my grandparents. I'll let you all know how it is after I see it!

Oh man today was a great day. I went out wakeboarding this afternoon with my wife and 2 friends of ours. I have to pull the boat out tomorrow to get it cleaned and serviced though.:( Oh well how was everyone else's Sunday.

Edit: By the way I saw the funniest thing today. Here we are out on the boat, I look over to the right, and here is this guy riding a jet ski trying to talk on his cell phone.

Hey everyone! I stayed home from work today. First, because I was so tired from Disneyland yesterday and second, I had two essays to write for an art class. Now I feel better because I got my rest and I'm all caught up with my work.

Here's a picture I wanted to share from yesterday. =)

Have a great day!

Ugh. I have a headache.

We had to do this "relaxation" thing in health, meaning we sat on the floor while i voice on a tape from the 70s says "Release the tension in your..." left hand/arm/foot/thigh etc.

I'm sorry, but i'm too ADD/Twitchy to do that.
Trying to get a room full of freshman to hold still, is that even possible?

And it was really funny honestly!
Every time the tape said "Tensing" it sounded like "Dancing" so it was like
"Dancing your left arm"
"Slowly dancing your right thigh"
"....while dancing your pelvic area"

It was like a 6 on the *** Richter scale.

Did anyone else know it was Asian American Heritage Month?
I didn't know May was a 'special' month for us Asian Americans. I just found out from a non-Asian elderly woman.

Yea, I slept until 10:30 this morning. I finally got all unpacked and everything and I'm ready to start my internship in a couple of days.

Now I need to go out and get something for Mother's Day! It always creeps up on me, and this year I'm going to have it BEFORE the weekend hits. :)

drinks on me

In the spirit of Scottish hospitality I would like to introduce you all to the Hendrick's and slimline - gin and guilt-free tonic served with ice and cucumber, most refreshing.

All I ask is that someone explain to me how I sync my iSight with MSN Messenger?

Plus if anyone's on iChat add me so I can actually use my new toy! I'm k1mca

Cheers

GOODNESS I'M TIRED.

I wore my contacts today.
When I have them in it's harder to focus on things than usual.
It's so irritating, i'll go to focus on the WRITING on the paper and my eyes focus on the BACKGROUND of the paper, making the writing blurry...while i'm trying to read.

And i'm rounding up tools for our service learning project. I'll be gone thursday/friday at an overnight camp. (Camp Mel Trotter)
We're building it up for the kids who go there.
Our group is building outdoor classrooms.

Although we are WAY UNDER BUDGET. My english teacher hassles some of us for not raising money, and it made me angry so I spoke up.
I told him that he shouldn't expect us to raise $10,000 by selling raffle tickets because YOU HAVE TO BE OLDER THAN 18 TO SELL/BUY THE RAFFLE TICKETS.
WE
ARE
ALL
FRESHMEN.
My parents REFUSE to do my fundraisers.
PAS POSSIBLE.

It's like one of those big DUH moments. We could do a lot of other things on top of selling tickets.

The freshman "center" AKA Freshman PRISON is full of scatterbrain teachers.

My algebra teacher taught us vertical stretch and vertical shrink backwards.
I'm not good at math so she could tell me 1+1=3 and I would believe it, so i learned it her way.
She taught us that vertical SHRINK makes it BIGGER.
For DAYS.
Now i'm really confused and getting a bad grade.

My other teacher was like 3 hours later for school yesterday because she thought it was Sunday.

It's going to be one dysfunctional job, but hopefully it'll get done.

I'm ready to get messy.

As I get deeper and deeper into Apple, I find the speed of my Mac holding me back.
I can only expect so much out of my G4 while I dig into deeper programs and try my go at video/photo iMovie 'band toast shop. (LOL)
But to be fair I haven't maxed out the ram to 1.5GB, I only have 896MB. But I get the feeling i'm growing out of my shoes.

Should I be looking into upgrading?

I probably won't since i'm like dirt poor and keep procrastinating buying RAM until I see the deals off of eBay I used to see, but maybe i'll get a job this summer. Haven't even filled out any applications yet. ARGH.

Steve should just give Macs away to cool Apple fans. ;)
