When you go to my profile, you should see (top left) a picture of a skateboarder/ramp

Click that and it will bring up all my photos on the page :)

FreeBSD and Linux look like they are getting ready for a weenie roast, with Vista as the "roastee". Looks good to me!

Its been almost 4 months, and I'm still without my Xbox 360. UPS is placing blame on Microsoft and Microsoft is blaming UPS in regards to my missing console.
So I'm giving up. Both have not been helpful at all. Well, at first Microsoft was trying to help me, but they just gave up it seems. So I'm just gonna bite the bullet and get a new one once the new proc chips are being installed. I'm just sick of this. Tired of calling and trying to explain my situation to managers at UPS and Microsoft...
Figured it be easier to just dish out another 400 for a new console and hope this doesn't happen again.

That's probably exactly what they were hoping you'd do. Did you ever get a tracking number?

Yeah I had a tracking number since July. I called both of them droppin bombs here and there after 3 months of trying to be civil and patient about this. But nothing has changed, nothing is getting done. People recommended that I take this matter to court... but I just don't have the time, patience, or the finances to do so.

Well, what does UPS say happened to it? If a tracking number was generated, clearly it left Microsoft's custody and is now UPS's responsibility. One thing I would recommend is that you remain firm, but be professional - no one wants to help someone who's spazzing out on the phone. I would make them account for the package, it's supposed to be scanned every time it's moved. They should be able to nail it down.

Actually thats not entirely true. Companies such as Microsoft that have accounts with UPS can generate shipping labels (and tracking numbers) on site and wait for UPS to pick up the packages. If it says "billing information received" when you put in the tracking number on ups.com then that means the company has created the shipping label and is waiting on UPS to pick the package up.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate the suggestions CWA107. But I'm just really sick of dealing with these fools. My bro is actually thinking about movin into an apartment nearby, and he wants to 'pimp' it up with a HD TV. I figured I'd just wait until he does so and get the Elite system along with a PS3 and just stash it at his place. I still have all the stuff that came with my 360, the harddrive, two controllers, the head piece, batteries... If I buy a new system I'd have extra stuff. Now I know not to get a system at release regardless of hype.

I understand that, but I would imagine that if it never left Microsoft's shipping facility, they would likely not point the finger at UPS.

Ugh... I just hate to see UPS get away with this kind of crap. Long story, but I guess after they destroyed my video conferencing equipment with a blunt object because someone had the nerve to write "fragile, please be careful" on the box, I haven't been able to forgive them.

Good afternoon. Need to get ready for work and leave my MacBook behind. *sigh* A few minor issues notwithstanding, Leopard is very nice. Hope everyone is having a fine day!
