Wow! I was a best man in my friends' wedding this past Friday. All I can say it was the drunkest I have ever gotten. I must have blacked out because I woke up in a hotel room, hoping that I was still in my hometown. Thankfully I was and I woke up with a bunch of friends. We all had a good laugh, once we all got over our hangovers that is!

Nights like that make me miss college and I've only been out for about 6 months, how sad is that?

Weird Al has a new song out called Craigslist. Lyrics brilliant, video pretty good in my opinion and music very faithful to the style he is trying to do. That style though is music like that of the band "the doors". And my the doors music is bad. Well bad is about 10 times better than the doors.

Al did not turn a lemon into lemonade here, but be did make it much less sour and not all that bad to watch and listen to.
But for online auction site songs, his ebay song is way better though. I think ebay (the song) is a stroke of genius.

Hi everyone!

Wow, it's been a month and 3 days!

I've had such a busy summer.
I'll be the only one in my group of friends who didn't graduate in '09 or '08.
Saying goodbye to the whole group is going to be awful, especially since some are going pretty far away, so we're keeping busy until then.

How is summer treating the forums?

Welcome allison! I hope you enjoy it here!

Man what a crappy night. I'm in the weirdest situation ever. All of my friends are now engaged or married and I'm like the only single guy in my group. So it's incredibly hard for me to meet new people since I just hang out with the same friends, and now that I'm out of college it's even harder. I've been trying to get together with a friend I've had for a while, and I think I pretty much found out tonight that she has no feelings for me whatsoever. She said she was going to do homework tonight and has promised me that we would go see a movie this week. Well she has blown me off every night to do "homework" and I called her this evening, and of course she didn't do homework. She went to a movie with another guy, and she has already seen the movie that she went to. It just really upsets me that she is now going to date this other guy who wants nothing from her but a few "fun nights" if you know what I mean. When I have been friends with her for years and she knows she can trust me, but has no interest in me at all. This is the second time this has happened to me in my life and I don't think I'll ever understand how women think...I literally have the worst timing ever.

Sorry, just had to vent to someone right now and all my other friends are sleeping. Now I know I won't be able to sleep tonight and I have to work early in the morning.

EDIT: After posting this I quickly made up my mind. I'm not giving up on this. I'm going to tell her how I feel next time I get some alone time with her and lay it all out on the table. I need some closure right now so I can get on with my summer.

Wow... just wow. I just used iDVD's Magic DVD function for the first time. It's absolutely amazing. I know this sounds rather n00bish, but this is my first time editing footage from start to finish with iLife and it's such an incredible departure from the myriad of products I used to accomplish the same in Windows.

I just want to remind everyone that Mac-Forums recently relaunched our blog, and a few of us have been busily updating it with reviews and even an opinion piece. Make sure you check back frequently.

so, i figured i'd post something here quick to head off any questions.

two updates.

i retired from my moderator position. this was completely friendly, no drama at all. i haven't been around much, work is getting more strict with the internet use, and home is usually pretty busy.

the other thing was that i'm replacing my macbook with a windows notebook. this was simply a case of cost/size/games. i still really dig OS X, and will likely get another mac at some point, but for the time being i will be macless, making helping others here much more difficult.

i don't plan on taking off for good or even for a while. i've made a lot of friends here and have a lot of fun here. i hope to still be able to help out with windows or hardware questons.

So sorry to hear that things have been hectic for you eric, but glad to hear that you'll still be with us as time allows.

Just replaced my MBP's hard drive since Applecare ran out. Loving the 500Gb of freedom! Also increased it to 7200rpm and I do notice a difference when loading applications such as Photoshop and Word.

I don't know how I didn't do this sooner! (Oh yea I didn't want to void my warranty).

hey cwa - i know what we're gonna do today!

really is a good show, i love the brothers' enthusiasm and actual love for their sister, the smart writing, the interesting characters. i really haven't been this into a 'kids' cartoon since the first season of ren and stimpy.

I'm kinda in the same boat as eric, life is gettin pretty busy for me lately.
Just graduated this spring, working to pay off some of my debt.
This week I had a stomach virus, and haven't eaten for 3 days straight, and I still made it to work. I know, I'm crazy.
