the ka is nice for sure. i like the vw polo too. can't wait to see the ford fiesta here also.

the smart is actually pretty safe, its got pretty fantastic crash test ratings considering its size. now if you crush it between a semi and a ford expedition, well, that may be where it would fail miserably. but really any reasonably sized car would be in trouble in that situation.

You won't be giggling when gas hits $12/gallon or more, as it is in parts of Europe.

No but I am giggling at the size of the cars and how silly they look.

Also, gas prices are significantly going down as a result of this economic crisis.

I want a VW Polo TDI. The little 1.4TDI that it comes with is plenty of power for that small of a car, not to mention the 65MPG that it gets.

I continue to say, a bike is no better. If that's your only mode of transportation, you should really reconsider getting a bike.

In other news, got a new stereo for my truck today. Hocked an old CB I had for it.

Yay!

I don't disagree with you on the MPG, it's just not worth it driving around trying to find a dealer with those. There's a Kawa dealer right in my area. It's like a 10 minute drive with traffic.

I'm not 18 yet, but I will still keep note of the Geo if I can get one then.

Well three days ago I picked up my friends guitar (electric). And at this point, I've only played guitar for about 2 1/2 weeks (acoustic). I've studied some power chords, since I can finally play them, and I must say I am picking this up pretty fast. I'm no expert, but I'm learning quickly.

The electric guitar is a Peavy Predator with silver hardware and red finish w/ white pick guard. I put some Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (nickel wound) on it, and it plays really nicely. The amp is a Peavy Blazer 158 (the older one with the green/blue line on the control panel). It's alright, but has a nice sound. Two settings i use:

1: Pre- 10 | Super- 8 | Post- 8 | Low- 10 | Mid- 0 | High- 5 | Reverb- 0

2: Pre- 6 | Super- 10 | Post- 1 | Low- 3 | Mid- 3 | High- 3 | Reverb- 5

Both the settings are played with the pickup selector in the middle, but setting 2 has both Tone knobs turned to 10, as well as the volume.

IDK if anyone would know what that would sound like, but in case you wanted to match my settings then yeah...

:D

I'd say you've got some kind of vulnerability with your Windows VM, be it Spyware, a virus or just open to a hacker in some way. Interesting that they know your name. I'd shut that VM down and restore the hard disk file from backup (assuming you're not virtualizing your Boot Camp partition).

I just placed my order for the 2.4Ghz Macbook!

Yay - I'm excited now... but it won't be here for another 2 weeks...

At least I've got some university assignments to keep me occupied until then! ;)

No no, it's okay. It was just a joke.

I'm running XP in unity mode, I took that screenshot for a desktop thread on teh 4chan.

Everything is okay, it's just odd having windows applications running on my Mac.

I was at the hospital to pick up my girlfriend to go to the movies tonight.

When I came out, the drivers side window on my truck was smashed, but not a darn thing was stolen.

Not my radio, not my art supplies, nothing.

It's like, I wasn't mad, wasn't depressed, I was just confused.

Of course, insurance won't cover this (stupid partial coverage), but the plus side is that the new glass is only $27.

I'm just inconvenienced. It's frustrating.

Sounds like some idiot wanted to play a "joke". How long were you inside before you came out?

I know no one in the area, but after talking to people, cars get broken into a lot in that part of town.

Regardless, got a new window today ($53), and I cannot seem to get it to get back on the track. I am as sad as a panda can be.

The guys over at the S-10 forum I frequent have been fairly helpful, but it's a long, tedious process to get this thing done. I gave up for the night so I can catch some Zzzzz's, but tomorrow, hopefully, I should know how to either fix it, or where I can get it put on cheaply.

something is really making my blood boil.

My religion teacher told us to email her a 100 point report. But what she said to us just TICKED me off:

"If you send it and dont get a reply, it probably went in my spam filter. If i dont reply back just keep sending it and eventually my spam filter will give up and it will go into my inbox"

Well, check your CHEESE AND CRACKERS spam folder!!!!!!! I mean holy HANNA if you know it's going into the spam folder then check your spam folder!!! for christs sake this a 100 point abstract. If you dont get it and ive sent it 20 thousand times and then give me a 0 WHOS FAULT IS IT??? NOT mine i was up till 1:00 in the freaking morning doing the SOB

and if you dont have a spam folder you have a LACKING mail client.

ewrgjnerg

sorry.

My bad. I shall know better next time :)

I actually kinda like those "replacement" words.
