Our babies

Sammy is our boy (buff). We adopted him on the Internet. He was found roaming the streets and he had ended up in a pound. He was about 5 years old at the time of adoption. He is probably close to 10 in this picture. He is just waking up from a sleep. His tongue is exceptionally long.

Princess is our girl (black). We also adopted her on the Internet. She was found roaming the streets 150 miles away from us. She is about 2 years old.

Heres my bug, Dylan. He fell into the sink and he was drying off in the first shot. Then he was all dried off and just relaxing in the next photo.

Speaking of Rhodesian ridgebacks. :(

We just got a call from the kennel where our dog has been for the past few days. He's stayed there dozens of times before with no problem. Well, they called to say he had to be brought to the emergency hospital, seems a "pack of other dogs" (kennel owner's words) attacked our guy and he's pretty ripped up.

Changing flights now to get home as early as we can, but they say he'll be in the pet hospital for another day or two at least.

Keep your fingers (paws?) crossed for us, and for Loki.

Hey ToddG,

How's Loki doing? Is he going to be okay? Have been sending and continue to send good thoughts towards you folks.

mathgore -- Thanks for the kind thoughts, they are working. Loki is doing better than expected; Friday he goes back to the vet and we'll know more then. But at this point we're focusing on no long-term physical impairment. It's been an interesting few days to say the least.

Amid all the worry, I have to admit that having a dog stoned out of his mind on painkillers can lead to some funny moments. :)

I would say Loki could create a good law suit.

Meet Cookie!!

IM000875.jpg

So, I was at this discount store today..and looky what I got!! His name is Cookie, the betta fish. He is the newest member of my clan :) Who would of thought of all places a dingy little store would have a small section in the back with betta fishes. I don't know if he will live very long but I fell in love with him. Sorry about the picture quality. My camera sucks, I had took a picture with flash and it looks weird. So I used no flash and it looks a bit better.

Did you call him cookie because you expect him to become a treat for the cats?
