You want a Macbook with a smaller hard drive?

The option isn't available online, but you may want to call Apple's sales line (1 800 692-7753) to see if they'll do it for you.

Somehow, I doubt you'd be saving money if they agreed to do it, if that's one of your objectives...

well I know I will never need 120 gigs...80 is plenty for me and it seems relatively cheaper, plus I will hopefully get a college discount!

Famous last words!

Do us a favor: print this page out, put it in an envelope, and open it in 2 years. Then tell us what you think. [giggle] :D

I remember when I thought a 2gb hard drive was massive and I would never touch its limits

My iBook had a 60GB HD. When I first got it, I thought it would be plenty, but it was soon filled, it didn't help that my UT2k4 installation was close to 10GBs. My iMac has a 250GB HD, and I'm thinking about putting a 500GB HD in it. As much as you think you won't need the space. It will come to a point where you'll be glad you have it.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, didn't the original Core Duo MacBooks have an 80 gig option? I'm really not sure, but I recall them having a lower base hard drive than the Core 2 Duos.

Dont skimp on the HDD space, I have an 80Gb that I have almost filled up. So I'm looking for a 160Gb now.
And if you cant afford the Black MB get the White one and save some money.
