Does anyone know how you will be able to convert photos from iphoto manager library into the new photos format or would you have to convert into iPhoto first.

What is "iPhoto Manager Library"? Is this a third party app?

The new Photos app will import your iPhoto library.

iPhoto library manager is a third party app which creates smaller library rather than having one large library in iphoto
