I think this problem is caused by low batteries. You can troubleshoot by replacing the almost-dead batteries in your mouse with new, fully-charged batteries. A package of 2 new AA batteries can be found at apple.com/store for $12*. They may also be available elsewhere online (check eBay or Amazon).
*not really
sorry, I'm feeling goofy this morning.
The only thing I can find is a suggestion to command+drag the bluetooth indicator off the menu bar (I assume you have a bluetooth mouse). I can't check that recommendation, because my order of almost-dead batteries hasn't arrived from Apple yet. Good luck.
Sorry to say it is broke .
Apples fault ,
We will have to wait for an update , was not fixed in 10.9.1 BTW .
It is Mavericks .
FYI my friend. This is a 6+ year old thread...and Mavericks wasn't around in 2007.

Yeah bluetooth with apple always sucked since 10.1.0 - its just got a whole lot worse .
There is a problem , so do you have a fix ?
I'm running various Mac's with OS 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, and 10.9 installed...and I have no bluetooth issues.

And so your "proof" that Bluetooth is "laggy" for any user other than you is ... oh wait, nothing.
Written using a bluetooth keyboard and Magic Trackpad. My experience (supporting dozens of clients and spanning 30 years) trumps yours, I think, and thus your claims are specious and unfounded.

On the other hand, I have a MBP and Magic Mouse and I have ZERO problem from as much as 3 meters away, with my iPad in the way, not just my hand. So that cancels out the two videos you posted (chas_m is one and I'm the other). Great range!
