Hello All,
My Finder is running at 99% when its open and I'm not sure why. The fan is going crazy and its getting quite annoying. haha. When I close the Finder window, the process stops and fan stops within seconds. I'm not doing anything CPU intensive at all. Finder is just open.
I removed all Shared Items, Servers, anything that connects to the internet or tries to mount anything from the side bar.
Right now, the side bar only shows my Hard Drive and my Locations, which is just home, Desktop, Applications, and Documents.
(Actually, as I was writing this, I removed ALL items from Side Bar and the Finder is still running at 99-100.4% -- according to iStat)
`top` shows this entry:
217+
19794 Finder 100.1 97:57.11 6/1 3/1 192+ 283+ 20M- 45M 46M+ 64M+ 2781M+ 19794 126 running 501 508866+ 376 47
and I run a `ps auxwwww` and get:
<USER> 19794 96.3 1.1 2846284 46092 ?? R 8:31PM 99:20.55 /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/MacOS/Finder
Oh BTW, I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.2 on a 13" Black MacBook, 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
Any help is much appreciated!!
Thanks!
