I don't want a thinner MBP, the MBA freaks me out, also - It would probably make it so slowww and that is not what pro customers want, in fact pro customers probably have a car so there is no fuss at all!

Actually you're right cause Apple wouldn't design MBA if they wanted to have a thinner MBP which is way functional than MBA.

Of cource, right after I get my MacBook, something like this happens. At least its not as bad as my friend who bought his MBP and a month later they came out with Core Duo 2's and wouldn't exchange it.

It will be my first Mac though, at the beginning I wasn't sure about switching to mac but now it seems like it is the best.

Do you buy a new car every time the manufacturer adds a new gadget or changes the grille?

Most people don't - why? Well, because they're expensive and they depreciate, but beyond that, you bought the car to get you from point A to point B. If it still does that, why go to the expense of replacing it?

The same is true for computers. You buy the machine you need when you need it and regardless of what happens with the model line, it will continue to do those things you bought it to do long after both your machine and its incremental model line replacement are eclipsed by even more updated models.

so, let me ask this question now: i thought that at the wwdc apple would release the design to the new MBP's if in fact they were coming out. should i go ahead and buy mine this weekend or should i may as well just wait until the wwdc since it is only in a few weeks time?

i understand that even if a new design is not released at the wwdc, one still may come out. i just thought that if a new design was to be released, it would be then.

Well no one knows for sure if it will be this summer or at wwdc for sure, its all rumors, only that. So if you NEED the computer now then buy it, if you dont then wait for WWDC to roll around and see what happens. Thats what im doing, and if they dont update them at wwdc, then im just going to buy it
