Crap, now I don't know, I don't think I did. But how could it even work if it didn't have the operating system on it?

Update, I doubled the RAM...

You should probably remind folks what this means. This saga started back in November (3 months ago)…and it's been almost 3 weeks since the last post in this thread. So not many folks will remember what your original amount of ram was…and thus will not know what doubling the ram will mean either.

I checked…and I think that your original ram was 2gig…which would mean that you now have 4gig of ram installed.:)

Quite often, a new drive for a recent Intel Mac needs to be formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with a GUID partitioned format.

Using Disk Utility on the root drive name will show that or what format it's in presently.
