Really, I did read something about smaller battries to accommodate the 5G receiver which although possible to incorporate into the processor will not be in this series iPhone. That may explain the power shortfall. As for the weight I can tell you my SE is 147gms while as you can see in the attached site the iPhone mini is 135gms. Mine also appears to be bigger than the mini. Mine is 140mm X 65mm whereas the mini is 131.5 X 61.2mm https://www.apple.com/iphone-12/specs/
Anyway I'm very happy with my SE 20 so no regrets.

The weight and size is smaller than the SE 2020, but not the original SE. Anyway, lots of comments regarding the battery and running time.

But that's to be understood. My iPhone 8 has a smaller battery and less run time than my iPhone 7+ but that's due to the smaller form factor.

Not sure I would buy an iPhone 12 Mini. Seems to me the only advantage might be 5G (if it's available in your area). And, I really don't care much for wireless charging.

I was a bit uncertain about the cordless charging myself originally but because of my watch I decided to buy myself a Belkin Qi charging station for my birthday. Since then my charging habits have changed a little. Now I wear my new AW o/night for sleep monitoring and put my SE on the charger with a bedside clock display. It does not charge to 100% till about 0600. I wake at about 0630, take the phone off the charger an put the AW on to charge. By the time I'm showered an dressed the AW is charged. I only use the Qi charger for both devices and not having all those cables on the bedside table is great.
