the graphical client is ok, but I use InCrease coz it pauses when im gaming/rendering (you can set dirs of apps that will pause it when they are run, i got all my games in one and blender in another, its extremely handy :D )

By the way the screensaver has shocking performance, so i suggest no-one uses it...

heres another link to Team Mac OS X software page for folding, theres a commandline version too and a service installer for windows hehe :)

I would just use the graphical client so that it can go into the background instead of only when you have your screensaver on. And flonejek.. it's not polite to promote a different team, especially when it's the mac-forums team and we're on the mac-forums site.. it's not good etiquette at all.

I apologize, I guess I'm a tad biased, but I'm glad theres such enthusiasm behind folding and I'll leave advertising my team to my homepage now...

What position is the Mac Forums team in at present?

I only ask as I'm already involved in another team that have been going for about a year, we are 187th in the rankings and we've gone from just a few members originally to over 90 now so I'll be sticking with them but when my twin G5 is back in action I may split my efforts between the two teams, especially if the Mac Forums team needs a little help getting beyond a certain milestone. I remember when my other team went through the 1000, then the 500 barriers it was kinda cool. ;)

btw, I'm personally at 4937 in the rankings at present but I've been without my twin G5 for a few months, hopefully once I get it back from the apple doctor I'll be back on track with my aim at a top 1000 spot.

I've just answered my own question, you're at 1,028 spot with a WU count of 1,072.

I have a personal WU count of 1,214 btw. ;)

Folding@Home mentions something about on dual processors that you can get them working simultaneously on two different projects...it referred to windows but is it at all possible on mac?

folding on Windows

Is there no Increase client for Windows? I have spare PCs at work that are idle. Increase 2.0 is a Mac client I'm guessing?
