I tell ya, you start with the computer, and it becomes addicting. By decluttering my desktop, I felt motivated to go through all my real world belongings and get rid of what I don't use anymore. Long story short, my Mac and my life are running much leaner, faster, and more streamlined.
Start one flat surface at a time (desktop) and delve deeper from there (files and folders).

It's called Cover Stream and here's the link to download it from Apple's site.
If you go into the preferences you can customize the size of the artwork and get it to open/close with iTunes etc. Great little app...
