I just whipped one up in Python quickly. For those of you who code, it may be rough and probably could be done more elegantly (I am by no means a professional), but this should work:

batteryCapacity = capacity.stdout.readline()[37:].strip()
remaining = subprocess.Popen("system_profiler SPPowerDataType | grep 'Charge remaining (mAh):'", stdout=subprocess.PIPE, shell=True)
batteryRemaining = remaining.stdout.readline()[33:].strip()

percentage_value = int(round((float(batteryRemaining) / float(batteryCapacity))*100))
print(str(percentage_value) + "% remaining")

Save that code with the .py extension somewhere. Add a shell script to your desktop with Geektool and set the command as "python <location to script>" (without the quotes and, of course, replacing <location to script> with the location of the script).
