Apple launches 1st generation iPod nano replacement program

It's been weeks and no replacement shipped to me as yet.

I have two in...requested on the 12 Nov I think. Took over a week to get the boxes. Shipped them back the same day.

Been at Apple since Nov 24...

But I think they did say 6 weeks.

I received my box two days after they made the decision to repair/replace and I'm still waiting for mine to be returned. The status shows; In Progress.

I got my box maybe 2 days after it was announced and it was at Apple the very next morning. I have not checked my status yet but last time I looked it did not say in In Progress. Will check again.

They only sent a padded bag and a plastic envelope for mine. No sign of the replacement yet

I replied with my response back on Nov. 29th and have not received the shipping materials to return my nanopad yet. Has anyone received a response and how long did it take?

I was sent a box in 24 hours after the announcement but I live maybe 80 miles south of where Apple is collecting the iPods. It was shipped FedEx overnight and got there the next day. I have heard nothing since then except that mine would be replaced.

I got a shipping notice for one of my Nanos coming back from Apple tonight. Says it's back here in 2 days.

Still have one to go but this is a start!

I would probably do a back flip if I turned in a first gen nano, and they replaced it with a 6th gen with better battery life and space. Just saying...I'm kind of excited even though it's not mine. Both of my nanos are still kicking.

iPod replacement

I sent my request in Nov 15. Just received my package in the mail yesterday (Dec 19). Mine came via UPS, which I thought was odd since everyone has been reporting FedEX as the carrier. How long did it take to get the replacement unit once your old iPod was received by Apple? Looking forward to the new one!

One of mine came back today, the other tomorrow.

I must say the new product is nice, but I might miss the old form factor.

And I wonder with all the gen 1's going away if those remaining might become a cult classic.

I just received a brand new iPod nano (silver) today. I think I was pretty confident in getting the current gen, when I saw the serial number didn't seem anywhere near the likes of an old iPod nano's serial number in the email I was sent beforehand. Very excited to have it!
