Hey guys...I need some help. I have a 2011 27" iMac that I'm having some trouble with.
The computer up until today was ok. I wanted to upgrade the internal HD to 1 terabyte. After installing the drive...the computer doesn't seem to want to "see" the internal drive (won't boot from it).
I've tried:
- PRAM/NVRAM reset
- SMC reset
- Booting using command +r
- Booting from an external drive with an OS on it.
- Launching Disk Utility
I've tried multiple drives (including the original one)...and I cannot get the computer to boot from any internal drive (it's as if there's no internal drive installed). All drives have tested fine with other computers...so I know that the drives are good.
Anybody have any ideas? I'm pretty "frazzled" at the moment. Maybe I'm forgetting something in my frazzled state!
Thanks,
- Nick
p.s. Also...as far as I can tell...all plugs & wires are attached inside (didn't forget anything).
p.p.s. The computer does not have Applecare.
